i like to watch the Lakers without Shaq. No not to watch the Lakers lose but to see what Kobe does without him. Kobe can never be judged objectively until Shaq is gone. All the other great young guards like McGrady, Carter, Iverson carry their entire teams on their backs night in night out.

Not saying Bryant can't do it but until I see it .................

The players you mention DID NOT carry their teams.

Carter- The team actually had a better winning percentage and their longest winning streak of the season was when Carter did not play.

Iverson- Philadelphia teams are based on Defense. Any game they played was always low scoring with Mutombo being their Defensive anchor providing blocked shots and offensive rebounding. Iverson is a VERY poor shooter and its not uncommon to see 12-35 shooting nights.

McGrady- Another guy who shoots and shoots and shoots and shoots. He is not a very good shooter either so any stats he puts up always disguise how many shot he takes.

Do you actually think that Sixers team of scrubs would have made it to an NBA Final without Iverson. They wouldn't even make it to the playoffs.

McGrady had even less of a supporting cast than Iverson and Carter.

Kobe Bryant has done what he's done playing with the most dominant big man in NBA history.

You are correct that Iverson, McGrady and Carter have flaws, my point is that Bryant doesn't get exposed to criticism like the other young superstars because he's riding the Shaq Express.

Two really bad games tonight on ESPN. Really sucked.

Jordan should really retire. He can do whatever he wants but he should have left the memory of him walking away hitting the winning shot for another championship stand.

i think the man deserves to retire on his own terms, even if he wants to come back and retire 10 more times. i don't think his performance now tarnishes what was a great career.
