Motorbike Thieves Shot Attempting to Steal Again.

Two young Thai men found out a gun is mightier than a claw hammer and a knife when they were caught in the act of attempting to steal a motorbike in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
Police from Banglamung, accompanied by Sawang Boriboon rescue services, were called to the scene of a shooting in a street off Soi Chaiyapreuk 2 in Huay Yai sub-district just after 3:00am. At the site they saw a dead Thai male, later identified as an 18 year old, lying in the road. In his right hand the deceased was clutching a knife. The youth had been shot through his chest at close range.
Waiting to talk with the police was a 42-year-old Thai male who told officers he owned a number of properties in the soi. He had been woken by one of his tenants who said his motorbike had been stolen. The landlord armed himself and then went on a tour of the street. He was a little surprised when two men on a motorbike came into the street, stopped, dismounted, and started walking to another motorbike and began removing its licence plate.
The landlord shouted at them, but he claims the pair advanced towards him, one armed with a knife and the other with a hammer. The landlord figured they weren?t going to discuss the merits of the novel Crime and Punishment and fired one shot in the air. The pair continued to advance and the landlord told officers he had no choice but to shoot them. He killed one man outright and the second, aged 21, was wounded in the knee but managed to escape. He was later found being treated at a nearby hospital and has been arrested.
Police are investigating further and may either bring charges against the landlord or award him a medal.

Crazed American wrecks his Hotel Room and harms himself following break-up with girlfriend.

Just after 10am on Tuesday, Police and Rescue Workers were called to a 6th floor apartment at the Ratagit Mansions in Central Pattaya following reports of a crazed foreigner who was harming himself. Police arrived first and managed to calm down Mr. Mark Amerson aged 32 from USA. His room showed signs of a major disturbance and many of the walls were blood stained. Following treatment at the scene by rescue workers, Mr. Amerson explained that he was angry and depressed following a break-up with his Thai Girlfriend earlier on Tuesday and he proceeded to wreck his room and then used a knife to harm himself. Mr. Amerson is now receiving American Consular Assistance and his mental state is currently being assessed by Doctors.

The case of the crazy Italian and the wooden penis.

A bizarre case now from Pattaya Police Station. In the early hours of Friday Morning, Tourist Police, based on Walking Street, brought in an Italian National accused of placing a wooden penis over the mouth of a Thai woman. Mr. Francesco Munaretto aged 45 from Italy and the offending item, a Buddist Penis Amulet which is a religious object normally crafted by Monks which date back to the 8th Century A.D, were taken to the Station. They are thought to bring good luck, however on Friday night the Penis Amulet owned by Mr. Munaretto led him straight to the prison cells. A complaint was made to the Tourist Police from Khun Pairin aged 19 and Khun Quantar aged 20 who claimed the man had thrust the wooden penis in the face of Khun Pairin after he had asked her if she was a man or a woman. At this point the Tourist Police were called in who took the man to the Police Station. He was uncooperative throughout the investigation and Police decided to place the man behind bars for the night to give him some time to contemplate his actions. He was released the next morning with a warning.

Not quite a crazy crime but my brother-in-law's younger brother recently committed suicide in Thailand...pretty fucked up situation..good guy- we grew up together....:(

wierd . i was just noticing that there seemed to be an unusually high number of suicides , and falls from buildings, especially by non-thai's

Pattaya is the mad house I call home.

There are plenty of naked foreigners who "jump" to their deaths from tall buildings. What really happens is they are stripped of their clothes and thrown the fuck off.

If you are unable to check yourself, Pattaya will eat you alive and spit you out. And if you get mixed too deep into the wrong shit, you too can "jump" to your death from a tall building.

The worst are the hookers! The better looking the more they suffer from brain damage. From last night ...

I have traveled the world, and Pattaya is like no other city I have ever been too. The whole town is 4 sale. There are way to many foreigners that get sucked into the scene, to the point of no mental return. And Yes I agree with Dirty White Boy, I suspect alot of deaths are "assisted" suicides.

Ya...I would believe that...Unfortunately for my friends sake it actually was suicide..He had a note in his pocket and sent an email to his dad saying he was gonna do it..He lived in Pattaya for years off and on...he was kind of a troubled soul...:(

Pattaya is a magnet for troubled souls.

It seems like a place that would have a big dome in the center of town to settle disputes ... Two men enter, one man leave.

Some days they put up a big kitchen table on the entrance of Walking street with a couple of cops and social workers sitting around and they bring some trouble makers to the table to clear up their heads in public. I haven't heard of a public burning yet, but once that table is set the town calms down a lot.

Pattaya News is 100x's more entertaining than any of the stupid reality shows out there, it's "real" real, and it's fucking hilarious, sad, shocking, they show uncensored dead bodies, it's very amateurish, it's my 1st choice tv station in that city :thumbsup

You should watch the news on the TV, its twice as funny. They have this thing here too where if say they catch you stealing a girls purse, they take the girl and have her point at you on camera over and over to prove it was you. When they bust drug dealers, they line up all the drugs he had on him in neat little lines on a table and lay out the gun he was caught with, even taking the time to remove every bullet from the clip and line them up on the table too.
