WTF happened?

I mean, ACDC kind of sucks in bigger doses than a minute or two per year :2 cents:

ACDC was on howard stern and he was asking them about their new channel and it sounded like they could really care less. Must have got a pretty big paycheck and they probably don't give a shit past that.

My question is why couldn't Sirius just give them their own channel instead of taking over another?

is there somewhere we can complain? guess I should look for their website, but GFY seemed as good a place as any :1orglaugh

I mean, I like ACDC just as much as the average rocker... love to hear them played on the jukebox in some random bar or some shit like that, but no way am I going to listen to an entire channel dedicated to them. Call me crazy...

Did the new AC/DC channel replaced the Punk channel on Sirius, is that the point of the thread?

yeah, not sure if it is permanent though, because the channel name still comes up as 'Punk'

they actually responded to me within a day with a personalized letter:

We appreciate the time you have taken to contact us regarding the music
of AC/DC on channel 29. We're here to help.

d-null, we can certainly understand how much you enjoy listening to the
music on Punk Ch. 29. We appreciate your feedback regarding this issue.
Please note, AC/DC Radio is taking over Channel 29 for now. However, you
can still hear music from the founding fathers like The Ramones, The
Clash and Iggy Pop on channels like:

- First Wave Ch. 22

- Underground Garage Ch. 25

- SIRIUS Disorder Ch. 33

You can also listen to newer punk rock bands like MXPX, Green Day, NOFX,
Pennywise and Rancid on Faction Ch. 28.

Xm might have a better punk channel so when they decide on what channels they are bringing over to sirius their punk channel might be one of them. Just a thought
