Facebook or MySpace???
I used to use MySpace and now I hate it, too many spammers. :disgust
Which one do you use and why do you prefer one over the other? |
I prefer Myspace, it's easier to spam :)
|
I'm an adult. I don't touch social networking sites.
|
I have both and use neither.

Facebook blows Myspace away. I used to say the opposite, but recently changed my mind.
And I love you. |
I agree... Luv ya too!!! :winkwink:

neither. email works just fine for me. don't need to create a profile for my friends who already know me or to get attention from the opposite sex. c'mon...get a grip people.

And since when is getting attention from the opposite sex a bad thing? Hell attention from the same sex is fine too... :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh |
can I make $$ spaming any of them? or is that so 2006?
|
Facebook for sure.. much better then MySpace
|
facebook.. myspace is all spam
|
I can't really get into either. I have tried but I get bored with them all.
|
Facebook
|
I use both equally but for different reasons
|
#3! None of the above!
Should look into it some time though... |
Facebook murks it.
Myspace is too bloated. Why do you need to spam? Just build a decent app and monetize off that ... |
I was myspace now I am facebook.
Myspace can rot :-) |
There's quite the interesting article in last month's Fast Company about MySpace and why they believe they're way better than Facebook.
It also gives some insights into their plans for the future and how they intend to become a "social portal" rather than a social networking site. Did you know that MySpace was launched 1 month before Facebook was?? |
go go facebook :pimp
|
facebook :thumbsup
No Annoying custom profiles that you cant usually read the text. No shit songs that are on the custom profiles that you usually cant read the text on. No spam from "local" women that tend to be merely pics of some of the models in adult. If they do in fact live in my area ( plymouth meeting PA ) then this is news to me this area must be a hotbed of babes / porn capital of the universe. Not bad for a town only a few miles across. :) |

Did you also know that Myspazz is owned by Fox News. Fuck supporting that shit. I only use Myspace for their bandwidth in playing music from decent underground artists etc. Myspace ads are a disgrace and I doubt they are as effective as the inline ones in Facebook. |

It's actually quite fascinating to read. |
most people have switched to facebook now
|
Facebook is for real people, that have real friends, and use it to organize real events and keep in touch... Myspace is for Mike22fromAtlanta to digitally hit on FriendlyChik24 from his parents basement.
Then again I don't really know, never had a Myspace account... but that's the impression I've got. |
Myspace takes forever for me to load, is slow, and full of too much shit.
Facebook is fast, fairly uniform (though getting worse), easier to find who you're looking for. So facebook wins. |

I organize quite a few events, and it works great for me. It's way easier to make a facebook event and send it out to a few hundred people than it is for me to call them all with details via phone. Also keeps you in touch with friends that have moved away, or that you haven't talked to in a long time. At the same time, I would worry about the privacy issues. I keep my profile on the highest privacy settings (I don't think people are even able to look me up). But some people put way too much information on there and allow people that aren't on their friends list to view their profiles. How easy would it be to steal someones identity if you found their wallet and had access to all of their personal information, friends, birthday, etc... online? Pretty much any security question out there is available on facebook. You can't blame peoples stupidity on Facebook though. If you wouldn't write your phone number and personal information on the wall at the bar, then you shouldn't add strangers or let them view your facebook or Myspace profiles, IMO. |
I have a myspace and use it to keep in touch with alot of people across the country even though I am not on it very often.

Also Libertine, very nice avatar you have there! |
Myspace is like the ghetto of social networking sites.
|
I also use both, with high privacy settings. MySpace has more of my friends/family on it, although that's beginning to change. I'm not a huge fan of the Facebook redesign, but their game aps and site speed kill MySpace. Social networks make it so much easier to keep track of my friends and family, keep updated on the lives of people I don't see very often, and organize travel as well as local events with those people.
Also, I'm really nosy and I like to see who's dating who and what their mood is today. :) |
I gotta say none ...
|
facebook for biz and serious business relationships, myspace for fun!
|
They both suck.
|
im more with facebook now, but i dabble in myspace.
|
Facebook but myspace was first afterall.
|
I hate social networking sites. I hate people.
|
facebook , BUT the newface book layout sucks ass .....
|
facebook for the time being.. but the apps are annoying. Especially when one app sells your information and profile to a different app
|
Facebook :thumbsup
|
I have both but I prefer facebook
|
i just got a webmaster job offer on myspace
|
Facebook for sure, myspace is annoying
|
Facebook is definitely the better choice now a days. I also dig their security settings. I have profiles to group people and what they can and can't see. I know myspace has security features too but they are a pain in the ass.
I also like the fact that a band or something like that doesn't have to come through as a friend request instead you can become a fan and it goes in a different place. All around the functionality is better. And yes, the new design is different and still getting used to it but it's grown on me. Starting to like it better actually. :thumbsup |
