Announcement: New Free Adult Blog Host WAQN.com Is Open!
 

It's my pleasure to announce the opening of WAQN.com (pronounced whackin), a new Free Adult Blog Host. To partially quote one of my favorite movie lines 'there are many like it, but this one is mine.' In effort to keep this post as short as possible, I'll get right down to what the host is offering and a few key reasons why hosting your adult blog with us would be a great choice.

Speed and stability:

We host with http://www.mojohost.com, the finest host I've had the pleasure of working with. We've got a clustered setup on rock solid servers, and loads of storage and bandwidth. Anyone who hasn't experienced Mojo wouldn't know this but those who have can attest to it that downtime is a very rare thing over there and if and when it should occur they're right on top of it. So your blog(s) should always be up and fast.

We utilize a caching module so queries aren't made every single time a page is loaded.

Features:

We support automated blogging software in the sense that if you write a script to automate the addition of links, blogs, or anything related to it we're not going to put a ban on your IP. Software such as AutoBlogger is also supported because we operate on a modified version of Wordpress MU.

Sitemaps - Each and every one of your blogs has its own sitemap.

RPC services - We've currently got the most popular services in our configuration which ping out when you post to drive more traffic to your site.

Manage multiple blogs with 1 account - You can have 5 blogs or 100 and have them all under the same login.

I'm sure we've all seen themes before that while in the preview look incredible but once they're put into play it's just not the same.

SEO plugins - All-in-one-SEO-pack as well as seo-image are made available to our webmasters and 100% configurable by you.

Storage - 350 megs of storage. If you need more, you can always contact us and we'll take care of you as well as we can.

For designers:

If you can design a Wordpress-based theme, we'll make it available to our webmasters. All credit (as you can see on WAQN.com itself) remains intact, so you'll get backlinks to your company's site from anyone using your theme. How the service is supported:

An unintrusive, small (20px in height) top bar ad which will only ever contain a single text line or small image linking to one of our sponsors. We won't use YOUR traffic to sell hard links or piss YOUR traffic off.

looks like they're simply harvesting emails - couldn't use a free email and with the one I used after that I never received the confirmation email

Only hotmail.com and yahoo.com are blocked. I don't operate that way, either. As far as not receiving the confirmation check your spam box I've had a few people say the message ended up in there.

Thanks a lot. I've been working since about 10am yesterday on some final touches before I posted at 3am announcing the launch. I'm still working on some additional features and custom plugins/modifications/etc that'll make the lives of the webmasters using the service a lot easier.

Very nice setup my man. I will be throwing up a few blogs for sure.

I love people who've been arounda while and still don't see how they can put something like this to use for themselves. Is there any chance you could enable widgetize-anything as a plugin? I'd love to be able to control my link lists from my Blogs Organizer install as opposed to having to fuck with adding links manually through the wp-admin...

The service is open to the public, so anyone who thinks they can put it to good use is more than welcome to utilize it. If not, that's ok too. :) I'll look into that this morning and see if it'll blend into the setup with no issues (I doubt there'll be any). One thing to point out that another webmaster using WAQN told me is that Blogs Organizer has issues when connecting to xmlrpc with listing the blogs (hence rendering it unusable). I've already contacted the script author as of yesterday morning and he's going to work with me to figure out the cause of the problem.

On another note, managing hardlinks should be easy in the near future as I'm working on a custom mod for webmasters to take advantage of in their admin area. :)

Errm, what I meant to say was to handle my Links with Links Organizer, heh. Not Blogs Organizer. I would put the service to far more use if I was able to automate the link trading process for myself...
