Wordpress not creating i's own RSS, errors on FWP syndication.
 

I'm working on a few blogs for someone right now doing a bit of maintenance and there are some major problems with RSS.

First off, the blogs are not creating their own RSS feed. I've seen it before on some of my own blogs, and it was always an issue with the .htaccess and it's permissions. So I uploaded the .htaccess that I use and set it's permissions. No luck, still not getting shit. Is there anything else that could cause this?

Secondly, FWP is in place to handle the syndication for the blogs. While adding in new feeds to syndicate I get a parse error after clicking "Use This Feed". After that the feeds don't appear to update themselves even though the FWP setting are set for automatic updating. You have to go in and manually update to see any action.

Any ideas as to what can be causing this?

I had this also a few times, i deactivated the plugin and activated it again, and mostly it did the trick. A few sponsors do serious not let their feeds syndicate, so i went to WP O Matic again. Made last weeks 603 Blogs based on 209 sponsors who offer feeds, and it is a commen thing those errors. A kick often helps ( deactivate and activate )

don't you still need to set a cron with FWP for it to auto-update?

You go to Syndicate Options and place a time value for a recheck. Standard value is 10 minutes

I've had a million problems like this. A lot of times the regular rss feed url like blog.com/feed/ doesnt show anything but there are other urls u can use to get it to work right. I'd have to look at it to help u out.

You've seen them before, if I remember correctly they're blogs you setup...

I've activated, deactivated, upgraded, played with permissions and the .htaccess, rss feeds and not generating for the blogs & fwp is parsing something funny and kicking back errors. is there anything on the server that could be causing the issues
