My former ISP called and threatened me. Unbelivable
 

As I posted in another thred I have had serious problems with my broadband for about a month. It started when my isp at that time went down, and was down for 2 week. YES 2 WEEKS OF DOWNTIME ! As you could imagine this pissed me off alot since gething a new broadband provider takes a cople off weeks. I made a webpage where I warned peopled about using this isp and told about the problems I had with them. I got my new broadband this monday, and havent really cared about the other connection off mine since it went down although it is paid for uintil the end off the year.

Then today the fucking CEO of my old isp calls me and starts threathning me with legal action and all that bullshit. Not a formel normal phone call this guy is really pissed off and throwing shit at me constantly for 10 minutes. He yell's about how they can not improve their network and sort out the problems if people dont pay their bills and instead by broadband elswhere. What a retard ! And that he is gething emails people pointing to the url I created.

Anyways I delete the url, although everything I wrote are tru and based on my own experience and facts that are 100% real. I forwareded it to my loyar, If he say there is no danger the url goes right back up!! Freedom of speach is werry high rated in norway, so I don't think I'm any danger.

I would have added the unprofessional phonecall details to the site where you were bagging on their company. There is absolutely nothing wrong with writing nasty things about them as long as they are all true. Libel is when you print something untrue. You should tell that knucklehead to go fuck himself. He can't do shit to you.

i don't know what the free speech protections are in Norway, but I wouldn't worry about it to much. i think this CEO will be spending his time looking for a new job.

He owns the company. I have been in the IT and online business for alot of years but this is the most crazy shit I have ever experienced.

i just had major issues with my old isp too
we had stopped our service and since we were moving out of the area we had them pick up the modem at another location and for the past 5 months i have been calling and calling after each time i get a bill now they have sent a collection agency after us because they lost the modem and want us to pay for it
argggggggggg i hate them alot
they did the same thing with a digital cable box we returned but i only had to call 3 times to get it resloved

He the best part where when he said and I qoute (he said it in another language but this is what it is in english) "You have no idea what our techs can do if I put them to it, we will turn hell on you" This is towards our servers that we house the page he didnt like and a pille of other websites. Haha makes me laught, his techs cant get a internet connection online for 2 weeks how the hell are they going to do somthing that require more then a mcse/mcp sertificat.

Once you're sure your site is safe you should call him up again and cuss him out! No wait, better yet you should call him and get him to cuss you out again, record that and add it to your website! Im sure the fucker will like that ! :D

Well norwegian law practice is no where near american. Larges payout from a lawsuite in norway is less then 2 million dollars (some carcrash thing). My lawyer said it would never go to court. The court would trow it out in the first meating. And be pist off since we wasted 5 minutes of their time. Yea I can backup everything I said, it's all true the fact that they are editing their "network status" on their webpage and hiding any problems they are having is what made me most pist.

Uhh.. fuck that. Put that site back up like TGPDevil said -- with the addition that they are now calling you on the phone and harassing you about the site. Get a phone recorder from Radio Shack & next time he calls, before anything else say "Just so you know, this call is being recorded and may be used against you in a court of law." He'll think a little more clearly about what he sais -- if anything.

But theres nothing illegal about voicing your opinions and warning other consumers about your negative experiences with a company on the net.

Buy them a new modem on eBay for under $50. They probably want $200 or some shit. If they don't take the replacement modem then tell them you will be filling reports with the "Consumer fraud division of ___________" <-- your state as well as talking to your uncle Paulie over at the FTC.
