Apologies to IHostSeo.com

First of all this is why I wanted a refund.

1) I asked for a server with 50 ips.

I received a server with 50 ips.

2) I asked for a windows server

I received a windows server

3) I asked for the ips to be bindable to different software.

Now if you go ahead and google you will find that this is totally plausible.

In order for that to happen thou you need a certain DNS setup which is very easy to do. The issue was that IHostSeo.com techs did not know how to do it.

Therefore they just left things as is and pretty much gave me a server that was useless to me that I paid $250 for.

-------------------------------------

I STILL THINK YOU OWE ME A REFUND. YOU SHOULD HAVE PROPERLY SET UP THE DNS.

-------------------------------------

I am not apologizing because psycho klaze threatened me. Infact if I had time I would already be contacting my local FBI agent. I probably will.

I am not apologizing because I think that they did the right thing. They simply did not.

I am apologizing because my reaction was unprofessional and I should have just taken it as a loss. You see I have had 3 business partners walk out on me which cost me something like $4000. My sister screwed me out of $3000 so I went from having a healthy savings account to being completely broke.

Once again I apologize about making threats.

Hmm probably I'm a tech retard, but as far as I know, DNS have nothing to do with any software being binded to a certain IP, DNS resolve domains :error

MoreMagic 09-13-2008 10:06 AM

I think this is the right place for a Sig spot ;)

You should be a politician!
For an apology, you sure do not apologize a lot.

Youre the biggest psycho on this board. Totally fucked up in your brain. Thats what you get when you mix low IQ, mental problems and drugs.

correct..

He did not have any domain installed, neither did he install his own dns ( such as ns1.mydomain.com - ns2.mydomain.com ).

I installed a public dns which was working fine.

http://www.ihostseo.com/nick

Above, you will see that he was ready to SHARE his IP's .... and that he disappeared for over 17 days after we fixed the fuckup he did with it.

If I would have read the " other " board, I wouldn't have answered his icq ...

Whatever " business " you do with this drug addict , if he doesn't use it or doesn't know how to use it, you will be subject to this ...

Nick3131, I sent you a bowl of pretzels ... I have my fingers crossed .

baddog 09-13-2008 10:18 AM

I still want to know how to share IP's on a dedicated server. Every time that has happened it caused nothing but trouble.

Do you want me to pull up the logs where you repeatedly said your windows tech was out of town and you did not know how to set it up properly?

You can do all the name calling you want.

You can easily bind ips to different software if the server is set up properly

IHostSeo simply could not do it.

Not because they did not have the equipment but because they did not know how.

I asked for this from the get go. Right after I paid they decided to tell me that this was not an option.

Before I sent the $ I could have asked for Jesus christ to set up the server and they would have agreed.

If the IPs were allocated to your machine (which you said they were) then there was nothing else left to do.

If every IP was pingable & you could remote desktop connect to any of the IPs and end up at your box, then its pretty much all on you dude. You should learn how to configure your software instead of blaming these guys.

#1. You told him he could share your IP's with other people since there would be no domains on them.

Quote:

nick3131 ‎(7/4/2008 7:53 PM): you can let someone else share my ips hehe

nick3131 ‎(7/4/2008 7:53 PM): cause i wouldnt host a website on there anyway

nick3131 ‎(7/4/2008 7:53 PM): so its not like it would hurt their SEO
I guess you forgot that.

#2. While admittedly I leave most of the technical stuff to the techs, we bind IP's to servers, not software. I would have told you that if you don't know what you are doing with a Windows server, don't get a Windows server . . . or hire an admin.

Juicy D. Links 09-13-2008 10:30 AM

Nick type in 127.0.0.1 and use that it works

Please quote the logs where you asked for the IP to be binded to unknown applications BEFORE payment or price quotation .

Please do tell how the dns is supposed to be setup for this.

Nick, once the server has the 50 IP's bound to it, its up to the individual software programs to bind to those ips assuming they can. I have well over a dozen servers that do exactly that. Its not up to the host to make the software do the binding, its up to the software maker or yourself. As far as the host is concerned, their responsibility ends once they get the ips to bind to your machine. They fulfilled their end of the hosting agreement as far as I can tell.

I cant believe you people keep argueing with that mentally insane person. Hes obviously very far away from reality and no matter what you say he will stay in his bubble o fantasy.

The guy clearly has severe mental disorders and wont understand what hes doing and why. He cant control his damaged brain, his damaged brain controls him. Dont bother trying to make sense. He's ill. You cant make sense to a mentally ill person.
