Do you know sitedepth and if so can you make a good template (members area)?
 

If you can make a very slick members area template using sitedepth CMS we need to speak and you need to know your prices. Graphic design is not required if you can explain what graphics you need, if your able to do graphics as well then extra sweet (just would rather not pay extra for it as it is not a requirement).

The more you know sitedepth the better. If you know how to make it play with tours, do other neat tricks, or can really work its juju then we need to talk. That is unless you are not in the need of making money.

Sample working work is required. I can not have anyone learning at my expense, sorry.

I know that script inside and out, customized the shit out of it before.

I don't need the money though, so, sorry. :P

So I take it you're another person who bought the script and then they disappeared on you?

I'm amazed they're still around to sell and install the script....because they sure as hell are never around to support it. Always some bullshit about an illness or death in the family or whatever....funny how that doesn't stop them from selling it though.

Sitedepth is a ripoff, pure and simple.

We use it, so I know it, but Im still learning a lot of the tricks for it yet. I've done 18 members area for it, but still a lot of stuff I want to change around yet. Wouldn't want to tackle it for someone else.

Nope. I have had it... I wanna say a year now. Maybe two.

They did not go anywhere, but they also do not do plate customization. Lemme take that back, they 'may' if you paid them enough, but, I wouldn't think they do template design, layout, and making it all 'purty' like a web designer would.

When I had to modify it a bit when I first had received it to fit my format. Little O did help some, or that Fransuwa, or Alfredo guy did some stuff. But it was delayed, and O ketp telling me I could do it myself.

Sure, parts of it were HTML, but I have not coded HTML in a good 2-3 years easily. So most of it I have forgotten, and frankly, I would rather PAY SOMEONE, like a web designer, to do it. Then waste my time doing it when I should be working on making money.

You see... I am at the point in my business where I have to focus on what I do best...

make money...

and outsource, or hire people to do what THEY do best. I am not a coder, or web designer, nor do I want to learn how to do those things. Same as I do not do my own accounting for the IRS. Nor many other things.

SiteDepth has been fine. But I need someone who knows it well, and can customize it to do my bidding better via new templates, designer, whatever.

Hey man, i will ask some people who have nice members areas that use SD what they did and who they used for the design and send you an msn later on today when i get some people, who are available, we do not do designs ourselves and can't make it pretty like a designer would as barefootsies mentionned

I was asked to clear up something about sitedepth.

They never provided me with tech support or any usable documentation to be able to figure out how to use the script myself.
All of our time was wasted and we had to move on to another CMS.

After this I put in my GFY sig "If you want a CMS with no documentation and shitty support, I highly recommend Sitedepth"

About a month later they contacted me and offered me a refund if I removed that from my sig. So I got my money back and they got removed from my sig.

About 5 minutes after I posted in this thread, I received this on ICQ

For the record though...the refund was never offered until my sig and rants on GFY started costing you business, so don't make it sound like you gave my money back because it was the right thing to do.
The refund was also offered with the strings attached about changing my sig. So don't go trying to sound magnanimous or like you're all about customer service because you're not.

Sitedepth is a great cms that I've used now for over 3 years and it does a great job for the price



I could prolly help with templates if you can't find anyone..

We have SD on all our sites and haven't had any big issues with them, they always come through for us. And Alfredo puts up with my thousand questions, and fixes stuff when I mess it up LOL. They also have done a lot of customizations for us. So far they are the most reliable script that I've dealt with.

I would have preferred a salad toss, or a footjob from your woman.

I use SiteDepth and never had a problem... apart from Omar talking about Chicken all the time ! Used in now for years... Alfredo is a god when it comes to any requirements... I guess the Doctor just aint on the A list... sucks to be you !

Im in same boat as barefootsies. I just do not have the time to make it design worthy and would rather pay someone else to do it than take myself away from other important stuff to relearn it and get it how I want. Just would not be smart nor cost effective.

I rather hire those who are good at what they do and be done with it.

Ive asked that before, forget what the answer was now though. I remember seeing a bit back that someone did figure out a way to do more than one php includes on the same page, but I haven't got a chance to test it out yet.

Personally (and I've said this before) I think they need to add a client support forum where clients can help each other and share tricks. :2 cents:
