Are there any stores like MallCom but for mainstream? Like where you just go pick products and sell the crap for a cut?

If so, list them.

at first thats what i took it as, but it seems to me to be more of a whitelabel approach to mainstream tangible products. or at least thats how i took it after looking at the sample. maybe i'm wrong. there's so many dropshippers you'd never list them all here. just be wary of electronics dropshipped from asia, hah.

I guess. I just found (and I don't know why I didn't think of tis before) Commission Junction.

They have a few stores in there that I could use.. but the comissions are brutally low. Like 5-15%

Adult truly fucked up when they started offering 50% then 60%... then 75%.... No other business is run this way.

WiredGuy 09-10-2008 06:59 AM

If you find one, expect your commissions to be 5-10%. With that, the only one that comes to mind is Amazon.

I'm on CJ pushing some computer hardware and stuff like ipods and iphones and whatnot. 5-10% is pretty normal for mainstream tangible goods. and there's LOADS of shit you can sell through CJ, jeans, computers, phones, golf clubs, whatever.

The only issue I found with them is that each merchant under them needs to approve your campaign, and some are hard to get accepted for unless you have a long time established site and traffic, while others just auto accept you.

Amazon.com ?

HowlingWulf 09-10-2008 10:34 AM

Amazon is what I first thought of as well. You want the 'Join Associates' link at the bottom of their main page, commissions up to 15%.

Are you telling us you have mainstream sites? :P

Evil Chris 09-10-2008 10:37 AM

I use CJ for a few things. They send checks every so often.

The Dawg 09-10-2008 11:24 AM

CJ and Linkshare come to mind.

Every year, (just like everyone else, I guess) I get into Halloween. I used to eat, breathe and sleep Halloween for years. Then I got out of it but now with the kids growing up. I'm getting into it again, and the sites out there... SUCK ASS. I figured a few mainstream Halloween sites might make a few extra bucks around halloween time.

It's more of a labor of love as it seems to only generate traffic between late August and the first of Nov.
