OPEC to cut oil production....

.....by 500,000/barrels per day. Oil was about to go under $100/barrel too.

Good. I hope it never gets under $100 again. This is a good price range... not too scary high and not so low as to prevent the development of alternative energy or waste the oil we currently have in Hummers.

camgirlshide 09-09-2008 07:52 PM

I agree
long term, $100 oil is good
Now lets work on some alternative engergy production instead of just drilling for more

marketsmart 09-09-2008 07:56 PM

this will be great... the usd will decline further...

kenny 09-09-2008 07:59 PM

They'll use it as an excuse to bid it up.

In reality they're just curbing overproduction

Tat2Jr 09-09-2008 07:59 PM

10 to 1 - that McCain will somehow spin it that it's Obama's fault..... and of course the american people will eat it up. :disgust

Oil and Gas have no business being at the range they're in.

Thats why we see demand destruction, etc.

I agree with you.

Why, your evil neighbors would just sit in their patch on there side and vertical drill your ass cause your a nobody to them. If you dared to bitch or take action then you would possibly have to deal with the US military up in your ass. Well that's assuming I can use history as an indicator.

That would be " slant drilling " .

Depends on what you call a "usual" drill. Most offshore drilling is direction drilling. Larger onshore platforms too. Small Appalachian gas drills not so much.

Like baddog actually cared. The guy just has to leave a retarded little comment in every thread he visits, he knows jack about jack, and that won't change.

quite the opposite. the USD is making a great comeback. large hedge funds have had their buy positions since spring.

this leads to the fall in crude oil prices. i believe they are denominated in USD, so as the USD rises, the oil prices must fall. one of the reasons why OPEC kinda ignored USA was because of the fall in USD, which would mean less cash for the sand playboys, and lo behold prices shot up and they are happier than ever, but once usd completely strengthens (will never happen for quite some time), oil price should be much lower than it is now.

i trade currency for a living... you are correct, commodities low/dollar high...

cutting supply will make oil rise/dollar fall...

and i am not even getting into the other factors that are making dollar fall...

i am too tired to expand, but all the answers for this week are here: forexfactory.com/calandar.php

I know I was thinking horizontal but for some reason had a brain fart and typed vertical instead.
