Alienq and Destiny
 

OK so I got no idea about fate and Destiny.
Well I never really thought about it much but what I am about to tell you is a true story and it happened Yesterday.

I never bought into the "Destiny Fate" thing but I think this event has changed my views on the matter. The chances are fucking astronomical.

Yesterday was my wifes Birthday and so we wanted to hit some of the wineries. Went wine tasting and while in Transit from one winery to another we pull into a lot and it veer's around a small hill and inbetween some tree's there is a Corvette. She says "Hey look your old Corvette!" Jokingly.

I look over and bang its the two tone Beige Corvette. I was like no way would it be the same one. But I am curious. So I say "pull over lets check it out!"

I walk upto the car and sure as shit there it is looking me in the face.
My Bachelor days 1981 Corvette, same license plate everything. Its just beat to hell from sitting outside for so long. I sold this same car over 15 years ago to a dealership in Sunny Vale California for a New Firebird and now the same Corvette sites in front of me.

I was in shock. What are the odd's?

OK, so there is a horse nearby the Vette and my Wife goes to see it.
The horse has two different colored eyes. If you know my wife or seen her she has two different colored eyes as well. OK Weird. Very weird.

SO its my Wifes Birthday, The horse with two different colored eyes like my wifes, and my Corvette. WTF!
However I am in luck! The Corvette is going to be sold to me I talked to the owner who is a old timer vineyard farmer ( Just like the funny stereotypes ya see on TV accent and all )and we went through everything about the car. Nice guy and he no langer wants it!
Needless to say I am buying it back.
So more on that development later. Me and my old friend will be reunited again!

Here is the old vette. It needs work and by god if I can build a Cobra Mark III I can restore this car to it's proper glory!

Yup Factory Five is awesome for the CObra Kit Car.

THe one I am building is not from a donor car which typically a used mustang.
Kinda going the extra mile with a complete build from nothing.

NOT All parts are Factory Five though infact Factory 5 Does not provide every single part.
Alot of bumps and riddles come with building your own car.
Ya get the wrong parts alot of the time, ya goto figure out simple stuff from time to time such as where to place the Battery box in the trunk or more like where you want to put it.

It's not exactly Lego's with a cut and paste situation. You need skills to make these things. Alot of work goes into these and I reccomend only people that restore car's or work on car's regularly do this kind of thing. I am from the Restoration line and have done a few restorations.

It certainly looks cheap for 12K but you go in and add up all the parts, custom parts, chrome, and engine make and build you can find yourself in quite a mind numbing feat that does get expensive.
So far it's looking like 30K by the time the Cobra is done and the time it takes depending on how nuts you go at it and know what your doing is not even figured in.

One of the finest engines you can get for the Cobra.
It's been rebuilt entirelly, headers, pistons everything. ( I didnt tackle this part though had to outsource it I just found the grungie engine and got it for a serious discount)
