Has anybody here ever been on a game show?

I think I have only known one or two people that have been on a game show. One friend was on Win Ben Stein's Money for sure. Somebody I used to work with as a teenager (but they were an adult) had been on Wheel Of Fortune years back and brought the tape into show us more than once (once was enough).

Have any of you been on a tv game show and which one and did you win anything?

Cool, can't wait to hear Tyra tell you how evil porn is and then tell you to take your clothes off for a shoot.

I did one for a pilot shot at Universal Studios with I was living in Orlando. It was a celebrity guessing type game, that never made it into production. My "celebrity" partner was Olive Oil from the Popeye movie from when we were little kids, Shelly Duvall. I won't a living oom/dining room furniture set...but didn't actually see the prizes delivered to me.

Anybody remember Double Dare? That was filmed for a good while in the Philly area. They came to my school district to find contestants but they went to the other middle school. I think we were all damn jealous.

I was on a Nickelodeon show called Weinerville years and years and years ago. I lived every kids dream by being randomly chosen out of the stands, won the competition and then slimmed on TV.

This was probably 15 years ago

I did one. I lost and never want to hear about it again...EVER!

I won't even mention the show.

The consulation prizes (which were not expensive) were still worth showing up for though.
The consulation prizes value in dollars is a decent payday for any days work(for average people).

I got a stereo system(boom box) that was worth a few hundred dollars back then.

I would expect consultation prizes to total less than $600 because that is the
break point to where you have to claim the prize as income on your taxes.
It'd suck to win something for $600 and then find out you owe $100 in taxes on it.

Mentioning being slimmed probably puts you right in my age group.

I auditioned for a few back in the early 90s... sadly the one I got on was the one that paid by far the least... Love Connection... UGH.

And then you got 400 phone calls to put you on other shows didn't you?

They love it when they find some fresh meat to put on TV.
