Chargebacks... Uhhhhh i'm confused as usual..
So a website you promote on your site has pre-checked cross sales that surfers are being tricked/mis-lead by.
So the surfer has to go through the process of getting a refund/charge back. Now that hurts MY SITE'S REP the surfer now thinks my site promotes porn sites that rip them off.. or basically i'm trying to rip them off.. It is safe to say the surfer assumes i'm profiting from the cross sale.. But if I get a surfer who signs up under my refid and charges back for whatever reason The affiliate program looks at me negatively and will refuse to pay me.. Now here is the question... What if the charge back is due to something the program did and not my site? When a Charge Back is processed do both parties know exactly why the surfer charged back? Can we trust programs enough to distinguish between a charge back that is my fault or their fault? What's the deal.. remember i'm just an idiot so i'm curious.. i'm not making assumptions or telling anyone how it is... |
Brazzer's has a prechecked cross sale..
WHAT if surfers really are stupid.. they can't read english or whatever the fuck.. They sign up and realize OH SNAP they want to charge me another $30 i'm canceling everything. and 10 out of 20 people do this.. Now it's not my fault they are idiots and didn't notice the prechecked cross sale.. but if brazzers never had it my surfer wouldn't have charged back and i'd be getting paid.. or what if the site fucking sucks and doesn't promise anything near what the tour promises? so 50% of my surfers charge back.. Is that my fault? I could go on and on with examples of things that could NOT be the affiliates fault.. *shrug* |
The real question is,,,,,Why do you promote on your site a program that has pre-checked cross sales that surfers are being tricked/mis-lead by.
I hope you don't have your home address listed on your domain registration. Someday a ripped off surfer may stop by your home for a refund. |

you'll just have to start researching what you promote a little better. i've been talking a lot to people who have bought porn membership in the past, what sort of problems they have had etc etc. all piracy issues set aside, i really am surprised anyone pays for porn online. there is a very VERY high rate of people getting these surprise cross sales tagged on. do programs really expect people to read a whole signup page when they got their dick in their hand ready to go? fuck no, and thats exactly what they hope happens. it's shady, no doubt about it. and it most definitely turns consumers off the product, and the industry as a whole.

I guess it's good there is sooo many duplicates of sites in niches..
So that if i am desperate for a squirting site I am not restricted to 1 site to promote.. Angry Jew, I like to think most porn is purchased on impulse with dick in hand.. |
Fuck off klaze.
You're a nick only here to add new threads to GFY. Nite nite. |
Just worry about getting some traffic first big guy.

First you should probably figure out the difference between a refund and a charge back.
Do you honestly think you can just call up Visa and say "Yes, I don't want to pay for that purchase because I didn't read the terms?". |

There are currently 1 bazillion porn websites out there, don't promote the ones who have pre-checked websites, problem solved. A gigantasaurus clue that they do have/use them is when they offer $100 per sale...

good questions....

I can call up visa and say whatever the fuck I want to say that will get me my money back.. If i've decided that it was my fault but I still feel scammed don't you think i'm going to lie? What's it like for a surfer to get a REFUND from a paysite? Impossible. I understand you are just ignoring what i'm saying to be a complete jackass.. Thanks for the input! I know i know i'm stupid and yer all fucking geniuses.. :1orglaugh |

Most banks will run occasional tests for bad charges, and checking the support telephone number. No answer = Instant ChargeBack. A response where the surfer isn't happy = Call Bank = Call to support number.. That's all there is. It's incredibly simple, but we can tell it's far beyond your comprehension. The only difference is if the surfer makes the call, or the bank does. I'd accuse you of being one of Juicy's fake nicks, but none of them act this stupid. |
