Fuck - Now I can't Use Firefox after using Chrome

I've been switching back and forth the last 24 hours between firefox and google chrome and firefox seems like a slow dog compared to chrome?

I think Chrome will take over 70% - 90% of the market within six months.

It does have some bugs and locks up when viewing some videos but overall pretty fast and loads in a second.

tony286 09-04-2008 11:48 PM

im playing with it now ,its very cool.

Adam_M 09-04-2008 11:50 PM

Optimize your FF!
Chrome will take over but not yet.

Snake Doctor 09-04-2008 11:59 PM

70-90%

That's crazy. Not gonna happen, definitely not gonna happen in 6 months.

Put down the bong pipe brah.

xxweekxx 09-05-2008 12:05 AM

LMAO

chrome has a big BUG where anyone can install ANY exe easily with 2lines of code, and it wont ask for your permission :1orglaugh

chrome is cool but firefox has been around longer. has more plugins, etc, chrome is too bare..

Iron Fist 09-05-2008 12:09 AM

Okay.. disable all your pretty extensions and themes and try it again... there's no difference.

After Shock Media 09-05-2008 12:15 AM

May I ask what is in the Fire Fox punch?
I can understand liking something, hell it is you who use it. Does that somehow make that product superior or better yet invincible.

Hell Chrome has hardly even been out and it is in early beta. Sure FF has more plug ins and security. Who can honestly not say though that Chrome will not evolve fast as hell anyways. Google has always been pretty fast with development, plus it is not like they do not also have legions of fans who will do nothing but try to impress others by making Chrome better.

Agreed, and if you look at the stats of huge free counter sites, no matter if adult or non-adult, about 80% of the surfers still use IE, half of those IE6...so much for people willing to install a new browser. Most just take what on their system out of the box and while google may catch the techies with integration of online applications, the majority will stay with IE.

What I expect is Chrome stealing a significant % of users from Firefox...but that's it.

mrshine 09-05-2008 01:18 AM

People love out the box things ( IE6 , IE7 )

NEWBIE!

Trying to sneak in your first post eh?

Supz 09-05-2008 01:32 AM

when you try to hit ctrl F to find something on a page, and you realize there is no 'Find' or atleast i couldnt locate it, you will use FF again. It seems very fast, It just needs some modifications, im sure the next update will be killer. Until then im gonna stick with FF

qxm 09-05-2008 01:45 AM

shit.. this thing is sexy... but it doesn't have any of the plugins I use... the true test comes when plugins are developed for it... my take is that it'll be comparable to Firefox as far as speed when all is done..

Klen 09-05-2008 01:49 AM

It will have its share, but not toobig share.

qxm 09-05-2008 02:00 AM

it seems that chrome tries to update or modify registry keys every fucking few seconds... its annoying as hell since my firewall monitors everything going on and prompts for a decision... also ... that history with thumbs that shows up when you open a new tab can be a problem ... if a friend visits and I show her something .. say obama/mccain discussions and I open a tab ....they'll see my most recently visited sites.... porn...porn.. and lets... see not politics but more porn..... great...:disgust

It seems it will have good protection against phising sites.

chrome will not get 7-9% in that period...

slapass 09-05-2008 05:00 AM

I think it will steal from firefox but people who just stick with MS stuff will just go on.

Anyone else wonder what the point is? Google seems to like to develop stuff that other companies aren't making cash on. Or things that they are and then give them away. Pretty odd business model overall.

gimo33 09-05-2008 05:03 AM

Lets just hope that Google fixes the security flaw in Chrome before someone exploits it.

Scott McD 09-05-2008 05:39 AM
