Additionally, every poll I've seen suggests that a majority of Americans are religious or believe in God. That blends in with the whole Creationism and anti-abortion stances.

I think there is no question that there is a huge portion of the populace on either side of these issues.

It was a ridiculous and vague statement. The opposite could be said and be true if that is how you are defining it. A majority would make more sense.

There you have it. It's not even 50/50. The majority is still in favor of these views.

If those figures are accurate, they confirm that the views on GFY aren't at all representative. I've seen polls like this before and was surprised, too. Sad really. But no amount of wishing it away changes it.

the # of real anti-abortion people == # of pro-life people. The uncertainty rests in those that can't make up there minds (54%) saying no abortion is wrong, but ok in certain circustances (add me to that 54% miscreants) ... And these stats are unchanged since 3 years (from that article).

I'm sorry but I do not at all find this disturbing - I find it shows that 87% of Americans either
1) don't know what creationism means
2) are actually allowed to think for themselves and not be spoon fed.

I never said a majority Tony. I said a significant portion of the populace.

I went by Tony's numbers. Didn't bother to confirm them. Whichever way you want to look at it, there are many Americans who believe in Creationism, are anti-abortionist, and in favor of the war. Many are the opposite, and many are in the middle.

I think no matter who wins, we are fucked.
