one reason McCain could be good
 

Well it's obvious that the dems are going to control Congress. Perhaps by even larger margins than they do now. Having McCain balances that out. Both sides would have to compromise. Also with McCain only running for one term he doesn't have to cater to the neo-cons since he doesn't need their support for 2012 run.
