Look up "haynesville shale". The drilling companies have been here covertly buying up mineral rights for 3 fucking years. They are sitting on billions and billions of dollars that they got at ridiculous discounts. Just a few months ago the bonus money on a lease was $500 per acre, this month it's $30,000. This is up front money in exchange for a contract.

There are a lot of people getting filthy rich around here. The lawyers are all booked solid and things are moving fast. By the way, if anyone is into stocks check out the companies drilling this new find. Their wells are coming on with unheard of production and their exposure to this play is just now moving the stock price. Gold rush 2008 right here and I sold my chunk of land a good while back. :mad:

By the way, if anyone is interested in much smaller deals feel free to email. There aren't many but there are some homes still for sale with mineral rights worth a few thousand per year for only $10,000 to $20,000 extra up front.
