Me too, loved it as a kid. As an adult, I can't stand to watch more than 3 minutes of it though.

mvee 08-29-2008 09:29 PM

howard the duck rocks!

rowan 08-29-2008 10:36 PM

I saw it at the cinema when it was initially released. All I remember was him dancing on stage with a guitar, and Lea Thompson a split second away from showing her boobs.

Probably one of those things that seemed kinda cool as a kid, but when you watch them as an adult you think what the..........

Bojangles 08-29-2008 10:45 PM

Howard The Duck was awesome.

rowan 08-29-2008 10:51 PM

I checked my favourite DVD website to see if it was selling cheap (I've bought movies for $2.95 before)... nup, it's $25! :1orglaugh

Elli 08-29-2008 11:31 PM

Howard the Duck is a cult classic. I think I must have seen it at least 5 times.

And I loooooved Ralph Macchio in Karate Kid. He was soooo dreamy!

dav3 08-29-2008 11:37 PM

man, all the movies mentioned were awesome when I was kid.

Monique Niccole 08-29-2008 11:43 PM

I never liked Howard the Duck, but I loved Scrooge McDuck because he always swam in his pile of money.

Eddie Murphy makes a lot of shit movies. I wish he would do some standup instead of making films. Norbit was the only recent movie that made $$$ where he was the lead...and even that was horrible.

I was surprised at this one:

Quote:

CLEOPATRA (1963)
Budget: $44 million, US Box Office: $26 million

Though the box-office draw of "Cleopatra" was quite respectable, it paled next to its monstrous cost. Originally set to cost a mere $2 million, the film's budget soon spiraled out of control because of production delays, ailing actresses, and mythically lavish sets. Adjusted for inflation, the movie remains one of the most expensive flicks that ever graced the silver screen. The price tag proved to be so great that the production threatened to put 20th Century Fox out of business.

Howard the Duck kinda scared me as a kid.

brassmonkey 08-30-2008 08:00 AM

i heard they sent him to china and was never heard from again:1orglaugh yeah the movie was ok i liked it as well

Vendot 08-30-2008 08:18 AM

George lucas has made worst mistakes believe me. In 1986 he sold Pixar to steve jobs for $5 million. In 2006, Disney bought Pixar from him for $7.4 billion. Jobs didnt do much to Pixar, he just let it grow by itself while he focussed on other shit.
