Sarah Palin - A heartbeat from a potential pres. with 4 bouts with cancer.

Thankfully... McCain sure fucked this one up :thumbsup

Article here:

"Palin a first-term governor of a state with more reindeer than people, will have to put on a few pounds just to be a lightweight. Her personal story is impressive: former fisherman, mother of five. But that hardly qualifies her to be a heartbeat away from the presidency.

For a man who is 72 years old and has had four bouts with cancer to have chosen someone so completely unqualified to become president is shockingly irresponsible. Suddenly, McCain's age and health become central issues in the campaign, as does his judgment."

On behalf of all the Obamaniacs! THANK YOU McCAN'T!

GatorB 08-29-2008 03:54 PM

Yep. Of course McCain supporter will deny this. The fact are that MILLIONS of people are concerned about MCCains age and health that would otherwise maybe vote for him. This choice does NOT put those concerns to bed. VP normally doesn't matter but in McCain's case it does and sorry McCain fanbois that's the truth. Oh by the way, most of the evil illegal bullshit Bush has done was actually orchestrated by VP Cheney. So yes VP does in fact matter.

I'm amazed that some women are staunch "pro-lifers", yet there they are.

DivaShane 08-29-2008 03:59 PM

I think this is the first post about Palin that I've read that wasn't about how hot she is. I'm really glad you brought up the point that she is a first term gov. This is yet another McCain contradiction. This woman has even less experience in governing that Obama does but I guess we aren't supposed to notice that.
I am inclined to think that this move was made in order to try and sway some of the Hillarites away from Obama. In my opinion any woman that had intended to vote for Hillary but decides to vote for McCain is clearly insane.

Obama/Biden '08!

Who cares she will have 200 (un)qualified people around her making the decisions anyways..

Don't worry guys, the "Democrats" have nothing to do with the destruction of this country, they will come and save us all... :1orglaugh

It ALL starts at the top smarty pants. Trickle down effect big time. It amazes me the childish rebuttals that so called republicans use to sway redneck voters.

I agree, but I also remember Dan Quayle.

Scary indeed.

In all honesty no. To many people feel that Obama is still to inexperienced to be president. Even his own VP stated that himself many times, now we are supposed to forget what he said because he is on Obama's ticket. Kind of funny to pick a VP that does not think you are qualified to be president. I do not think either of them picked the best VP's.

I don't understand the big deal about having more women in DC, Pelosi didn't do shit except spend money foolishly. Hell she was elected to stop pork-barrel spending and the first thing she wanted to do when elected was buy herself a private jet.

I was waiting to see who McCain's running mate was before deciding who to vote for because voting for him is technically voting for his VP (guarantee dirt nap within the first 2 years)

Obama/Biden 08.

Thomas Jefferson wrote the Declaration of Independence when he was like 29.

This was such a reckless choice by McCain. He has always loved to be the maverick but this isn't the time or place.

!

You are using an editorial article by Paul Begala as your basis for this argument?

Thats about as useful as me using an article by Ann Coulter on why Obama has no experience and should not be President yet.

"Palin a first-term governor of a state with more reindeer than people, will have to put on a few pounds just to be a lightweight."

There are about 950,000 Caribou near Alaska.. some are shared with Canada so I'm not sure of the accurate number. But I hear that they do really well around the warm pipelines pumping oil so maybe drilling in ANWR isn't such a bad idea.

Palin's weight looks just right to me... not skinny and not fat.. very attractive. Maybe Begala thinks she is lightweight because he is comparing her to his own wife?

"Her personal story is impressive: former fisherman, mother of five. But that hardly qualifies her to be a heartbeat away from the presidency."

Well thats nice and dandy but kinda leaves out the fact that she has served as a Mayor and as a Governor. That is called "executive" experience. As far as experience goes, "executive" experience is generally more favorable than "legislative" experience. Palin's is all executive and Obama's is all legislative.

"In his first presidential decision, John McCain has shown that he is willing to endanger his country, potentially leaving it in the hands of someone who simply has no business being a heartbeat away from the most powerful, complicated, difficult job in human history."

Maybe McCain is fine with leaving the country with someone unqualified a heartbeat away from the Presidency, but why are the Democrats so focused on putting the fate of this country in the hands of someone who has no business being placed in the most powerful, complicated, difficult job in human history?

US voters have to start looking at reality. McCain is old and unlikely to last 8 full years which as a sitting President is likely. Even if he does his mind will be less than sharp in 4 years. Senility is something most get at his age.

So his choice of VP is very important. Would YOU vote for Palin as President?

Casting your vote for McCain makes that a very strong probability.

pornask 08-30-2008 01:24 AM

No wonder Americans have the reputation for being dumb as fucks. Here they come mocking unqualified VP, yet with the same breath they proclaim they'd vote for unqualified president. You truly deserve Barack Obama for president. Dumb fucks need the king of dumb to lead them...
