Veoh Porn Case Judge Rules in Favor of Tube Sites
SACRAMENTO, Calif. ? In a decision that will affect every video-sharing site on the Internet, a U.S. District Court Judge ruled that just because a tube site encodes videos doesn't mean they control those videos. The case involves the mainstream video-sharing site Veoh.com, which used to include an adults-only area. soon, traditional paysite tours will be replaced with more tube-like interfaces...it's already happening a little bit and will continue. |
Doesn't change anything. The main issue was whether automatically encoding user uploads removes the protections of the DMCA for the site owner.

i wonder where Paul's point stands in all of this tube stuff... if youtube has the control to remove things that look like adult content in minutes, why cant they remove things that look like copyrighted stuff in minutes (ie. anything that is a clip from a TV show or movie)
