daily check of 10k sites
now we are working on our solution to check availability of each site, but we're still experiencing ~30% of false positive.
is there any service that can do this perfect? |
You own 10k sites?
|
no, i don't )
|
When I was running my 11.500 TGPs network I had a single server hosted on different datacenter only for checking if some sites were down.
It's relatively easy to make such a system... but of course you need to know how. Putting all the sites into a big array/database and check them in bulk every 5 minutes is not a good solution and you are very lucky if you get only 30% false positives that way. |

btw what false positive level did u have? we are working on public service. so everybody should win, if we'll find a solution |
Why do you need to check?
|
|
depending on the details I can custom code you script to check your sites.

You probably want to run ping on cron and pipe the output.

I was thinking of nagios, but that's a lot of sites, you'd have to check it out.
|
i just wondering maybe someone knows any existing quality script or service that can do that
sure we'll bet it, it's only the question of time and work |
