I just read on FT that the real reason may be to screw with Google's contextual based advertising.

Calling it Porn Mode would have Bill Gates possibly decide to leave it out like everything else he left out of Vista when it arrived.

I wonder if the browser turns red and flashing yellow and chicka chicka bow bow music starting going on in the background...
