I got an email CC'd to a [email protected]l.

What exactly is this .local extension and what advantages does it offer? I'm assuming it is a way of setting up internal email, but I'm not sure of what else it can do.

It means some dipshit doesn't know how to setup their MTA. .local is a commonly used unqualified extension for an initial installation. Usually on forms of Linux.

I thought it was a way of somehow managing mail permissions internally.
