notoldschool 08-25-2008 08:26 PM

She is a great public speaker and obviously highly intelligent. Im impressed. Its sad Mccain will win and he's dumber than a 3 legged ceramic poodle.

you are right ... a McCain win is possible

it would be a definite loss and shame for our country tho as it would say to the world that when given the choice between the future of the world itself... and unfounded hatred bred in racism

.... the americans chose racism

Racism is and would be the only thing that would give McCaine a win

I hate to say it but its true

must be nice to have that tired, yet effective excuse handy for any possible failure.

"we can change".... unless we lose.. then we'll go back to blaming whitey for all our failures.

qxm 08-25-2008 08:36 PM

McCain's ad system is effective because it targets the Lowest common denominator ..:2 cents:

Sadly the amount of people who fall in that category is enormous ..

you'd have to be a non-functioning retard to say that race has nothing to do with Obama losing by 70% in states like Kentucky.

non-functioning retards can't type on a keyboard so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt.

Its not an excuse fella... its a fact

they even polled voters in some states and they admitted it

Just saying ... in the age of stem cell research ... and the information superhighway

its amazing to think some people are still blinded by the ignorance of racism :2 cents:

LeRoy 08-25-2008 08:44 PM

Yep, it's a fact...
many white poeple will not vote for a black man.
many black poeple will not vote for a white man.

Clearly, we cannot change.
Doesn't this make the whole basis for Obamas' campaign, flawed?

hell, Obama had me til he picked Biden.
Not much 'change' there ..

Well as a black man... I have never had an issue voting for a white man ... ever

and have never met a black guy who said he could not vote for a white man

no clue where you get your info

but its already starting to look like having any type of conversation with you on the topic would be pointless

FYI, Obama picked Biden based solely on the current condition of world affairs.

if you really look at it... the Biden pick represents a never before seen change in politics in that a politician was willing to take a chance on his political career and make the choice he knew was right for America as vice president...

Joe Biden

he could have just picked anyone who would have promoted the image of change but instead... he picked someone that he feels can help him fix this mess the republicans have put us in.

The truth has been known to take republicans breath away

A hillary pick would have pretty much sealed the deal on a win as the republicans would have never been able to compete with the star power alone ... not to mention a better plan for America domestic and global:2 cents:

I will bet you this... the day mccaine wins .... is the first day we cease to exist as the ruling world power and may as hold a ceremony to hand over power to china:2 cents:

Stop flip flopping.....

Make a choice....

You ride a motorcycle, you have you own biz, you are independent ...... make a choice....

Stand your ground or just get out of the way.

In a failed attempt to bring the thread back to the original topic:

That was an amazing speech, she did an incredible job. The kids were adorable.

I can't wait to see which few word phrase from the entire speech fox news (and by extension other right wing surrogates) will pick to focus on, take out of context, rip apart, and bash us in the face with!!!

Okay, so you think that because I thought he might be a viable candidate for president I should automatically vote for Obama because he gave him the nod for veep?

jimmycash 08-26-2008 02:23 AM

McCain could win becasue America is still a right of center country and When Obama picked Biden for Veep, he essentially made the most liberal Dem ticket in recent history.
He should have gone with a more to the right veep choice.

And I would venture to say that there is no rascim in America on the macro level. Of course you will find cases in the micro, but overall America is a good place that takes legal immigrants from all countries with open arms. And why having a black man on the top of the Dem ticket doesn't prove to people once and for all that racism is dead in America, i don't know what will.

So if Obama loses.... it's because of racism?
I don't think so.

If Obama loses it will be because the majority of America doesn't share his values.

If a martian from mars shared my values, I would be happy to support the martian.

Michaelious 08-26-2008 04:09 AM

Being in the UK and classifying myself as liberal the way i look at it is that it doesn't matter who wins, whether it is an African American or a WASP (as people call McCain, which is kinda racist baring in mind McCain is an Irish name so not Anglo Saxon).
Either way a rich guy whose family has had money for a while will win. You ever heard of a poor president? And come on! Most of the presidential candidates are or have someone connected to either Royals through ancestry or Skull and Bones (e.g. One of Obama's finanicial advisors was part of skull and bones. McCain's obviously just pretty much a carbon copy of Bush, just even more absent minded.

Well... I have to say that church drama really, really fucked up Obama's entire campaign. And didn't it have something to do with racism? That and the fact that his father was not American, really does not make him look like the USA poster boy at all.

I don't think he will lose because he is part black, I think he will lose because he does not represent this country and just isn't "American" enough with these things hanging over him in the public eye now.

He'd be better off with a drunk car salesman step father like Bill Clinton than an African father that didn't really raise him. Its all perception of middle America, and the opinions are mostly formed by the media.

Most people have no idea what Obama has done, or what he is planning to do. Its all about how good he and his family look in front of the Christmas tree in the White House, and how hard we laugh at his bloopers.

Right here is proof, that the first thing most Americans focus on is the way that she looks. Not talking about her skin color! But appearance is everything in this game.

sorry TTH, you should've held off on that one. :1orglaugh

Perhaps many will vote against Obama because they disagree with his left wing polices? I could care less that he is black. The fact that he is a radical leftist does concern me a bit though.
