FACT: Google PR is almost useless info
To all you noobs out there that evaluate hardlink value by PR forget it! PR is near useless these days.. You need to evaluate a hardlink's value by how much google traffic that site is getting vs. outgoing links at that site because for example PR 4 sites that are listed on ONLY when searched for by domain in google and get very little overall traffic are useless. Any today's seo expert knows this.
I'm telling you guys this hoping that some day people would start to appreciate the high search engine traffic sites more when they see one. Of course because this is a business thread it will fall off the radar in a couple of seconds. ;P |
i sale pr1 links 50 dollah!!!

Well sure many people know that by now.. but clearly a lot don't and this post is to those guys that don't. Most still want the trading partner's PR to be equal or better as yours etc..
|
PR can be handy if you use it right :)
|
Who cares about PR, it's all about real traffic.
|
Yeah, I figured that out six months ago when my site went from a PR 5 to a PR 2 while traffic to my site tripled.
|
Bump for a biz related post. What do you suggest as the most efficient tool to evaluate a site's "google traffic vs. outgoing links?"
|
You are talking to sheep.. They cannot comprehend what you are saying... Therefor you might as well just be exhaling.

PR is less relevant these days. But I've always said PR is like the Alexa number, but backwards. With Alexa, the closer you get to "1" the more accurate it is.
With PR, the closer you get to "10" the more accurate it is. 1-5 is pretty much irrelevant as far as traffic. But no low quality, low traffic sites are 6 or above. But nobody here deals with PR 6-10 porn sites so it doesn't matter. But PR was always just a small factor to take into consideration when evaluating a site. |
If you use it as a starting point, it can help some. But you have to know when to forget about it, and move on. Like RH said above. he dropped PR, but tripled traffic, and that helps. But the links are NOT ONLY about the traffic from site to site. GOOGLE still uses the PR for a reason.
