hi guys, i wanted to pass along some interesting pictures from a trip I went on a few weeks ago to the Ukraine. Amazing trip. Going to a place like that really changes your way of thinking. Was just going through them and thought you guys may be interested.

We stayed at the "Diesel compound" (an large area of land about 1.5 hours outside of kiev, there was a large cabin, sauna house, guard and 2 cooks, 2 lakes and a bunch of boats)

I have been to ukraine too and it is a great country! I too the train from Kiev to Dnepropetrovsk and even that was a interessting experience :) Going back there soon! |

i cant agree more, the food you eat, if its chicken, its from a chicken killed 4-5 hours ago a few blocks away, if fish, it was just caught that morning, the vegatables were just picked, there were no such things as ranch dressing, preservatives, etc
your system feels so healthy in contrast to what you get in the US |

Ukraine is a wonderful country, and Kiev a great city. Was there again a few weeks ago and had a blast. Also had a Russian Massage is the sauna - with the eycalptus leaves - was interesting to say the least!
And spent a night at the Barsky club in Kiev - and saw the best looking girls I have ever seen. I really love Kiev and the people! |

I used to live in Russia for a couple of years. Looks very similar. Funny you mentioning the line of people waiting for the priest. I remember seeing them walk up to one of the clergy and tell them their problem and then they say that this saint is good for that and so they go buy some candles and light them where the painting of that saint is.

Nice pics, and the roasting of potatoes on the barbie is a must..wrap them in tin foil and throw them in, the skins go nice and crisp, you cant beat barbie roasted potatoes..yum yum
