Dont allow your content to be "bought" for 27.00 or a 2.00 trial, then kept for life. THAT is the solution people. DO not let your members area videos be downloaded.

And they aren't liable unless you can prove that they knew that the CP exists and that they did nothing to remove it. And the prosecutors are too busy going after scat porn producers anyways.

If you are concerned about unauthorized re-distribution, you should switch to Flash Media Server. The advantages are clear:
-excellent video quality with a major reduction in bandwidth usage
-true streaming video (users can jump to any part of the video without having to wait for the video to load)
-proprietary format and unique memory buffer prevents the video data from being recorded to the hard drive and prevents all stream rippers from working
-fully scalable function makes it easy to add additional servers as needed
