What video compression to use for high quality streaming video?
Hi guys, wondering what video formats / compression methods you use to get the best quality (and decent quality/speed ratio) for streaming video? Quicktime, WMV, Flash? Any specific compression software that gets great results?
Thanks a lot for any input, I really appreciate it :thumbsup:thumbsup |
depends on your website, business model and customers.
HD is best |
.mp4's via flash player using h264 codec.

It's a damn shame that you can't even do a realtime transcode of x264 reliably, yet.

Thanks for input! I have been using flash compressed videos but still trying to tweak the settings to get the best results. I haven't tried mp4 w/ h264 before, I'll let you know how it comes out. Thanks again.
