iPhone Apps... what should I make?

I got my developer box in the mail. What iPhone Apps should I make?

Fresh 08-22-2008 11:46 AM

its too late for this, but I cant believe no one made an iphone app to track the olympics. Someone would have cashed in

klaze 08-22-2008 11:47 AM

I finally upgraded my 2g iphone to the new firmeware and unlocked it.
I was blown away by how many apps their is... it's pretty awesome..
Everything I could think to search for had 1 or 3 already :)

Is there any sites that show the download stats of all the store apps?

First, you'd get sued. They protect their trademark more than anyone else I have ever seen except maybe Apple.

Second, you have internet access on the iphone. Just go to si.com.

One thing I would like to see is some kind of password protect for photo directories.

I have some pictures of girls from the shows, mansion pics and other "edgy" photos that would be great if you had to enter a password to view it.

i know i shouldnt have them on there if i dont want other people to see, but its kind of hard when im out eating with family and someone emails me and i pull out my phone and my gf's uncle says "is that the new iphone? can i see it?" and i have to say "no, battery is going to die, i need to keep it off, sorry" in fear that he will see his niece naked :1orglaugh:1orglaugh

I'm all about the stupid apps that suckers will buy.

Like the Good Luck app which will give you good luck every time you run the program for $5.95 a month.

you also get a free CUSTOM wallpaper! Collect them all!!

;)

That would be easy to do. Also give you the previous winning numbers.

Not if you are like most people and don't really give a shit about the olympics. I just check out the medal tracker about once a day.

UniqueD 08-22-2008 01:16 PM

you should totally make a sudoku app. Millions would buy it.

CurrentlySober 08-22-2008 01:24 PM

You should simply make lots of money...

Dont get hung up on the details.. Thats where all good plans fail...

a bit too late for this as well, but i found myself to be indecisive when it comes to -- doing stuff -- like, which movie to see, which cafe to go to, etc... wanted an app like "icoin" -- heads/tails, probability options, etc... if I think of something else, I'll definitely post again.

Dont know if this is possible, but I would love an app that allows you to block a phone number from calling you. Or send a specific caller directly to voicemail.

would also pay for the game with the colored squares and you click them and they come down. Its sometimes called Boxy.
I got bejeweled for $10 but hate it

I'd love something like that myself. I think the iphone has a option though were you can turn the sound off for some numbers that call as long as you have them in your contacts.

Here's one I've been wanting to develop but have more important projects to work on right now.

Many people think tracking their finances is an important thing to do but then fail to take the same diligence to time. Time should be tracked as well. It is harder to come by than money and you can't get more of it. In fact, it's more important to track time than money as the consequences are greater.

Allow user to click a button, it creates an entry with a timestamp. You can have hot buttons for common activities. Activities are assigned to categories. Statistics can be shown for how you spend your time for daily, weekly, and monthly. Categories can be tracked. Also, line graphs to track a specific category. Let's say you want to spend more time doing something or less time doing something else. Well, having a line graph will make it possible to see how you are doing.
