Pet Peeves about running on the beach.
So I run usually 5-6 times a week, and I recently moved to White Rock Beach. Kind of a small town just outside Vancouver, basically a suburb. There's a 2.2 km boardwalk along the beach, so I run that, a few times, as part of my run.
The following things bother me, so please don't do them. 1) Fat chicks, usually eating Fish and Chips, sitting at a table, dripping grease and stewing in their own rancid sweat who insist on smiling and waving. What part of me running in the hot fucking sun and being chiseled out of stone gives you the idea I'm interested in fat, disgusting, lazy eat creatures? I mean, I don't go after super models, and really, I'm out of your league by just as large of a gap. Please, just avert your eyes or I'm probably going to be mean to you. Not fair to blame me for it, either. 2) Little fucking dogs. If your little fucking rat looking dog is yipping at my heals, it's not cute it's fucking annoying. Don't look all shocked when I give the little fucker a kick. There's leash laws for a reason, bitch. And no your husband isn't going to make me apologize either. He's already thinking of ways to get his ass out of this. 3) Fat people walking side by side across the entire boardwalk. If cumulatively you and your partner are wider than the path, have the common fucking decency to waddle single file. Pretend you're 747s on a hot dog runway or something. One after the other. God I fucking hate people sometimes. |
lol sounds like a bad morning?
|
Sounds like theres a fat epedemic in that town, why did you move there?

They are probably Americans that moved into his area. |
I can't stand it when I go to the beach and have to see sweaty joggers while I am having a picnic with my dog.
That's what gyms and tracks are for. :1orglaugh |

Now pipe down, hippie. |
Runners are wild animals. Joggers are runners that have been domesticated.
|
My only problem are runners who don't know runner courtesy rules. We're not in England. RUN ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE FUCKING PATH YOU CUNT!
I play chicken with assholes like that. And I won't move - I'm a LOT bigger than them. :) PS I eat my fish and chips WHILE running |

This thread is just hilarious

Run on the beach instead of the boardwalk... it's better for you anyhow.
|
Good rant. Humorous and true. I approve :thumbsup

LOL :)
What I hate the most is people crossing the path without looking, especially on the bike path it seems perfectly normal. I had so many near accidents. And then they look at you like "Where the fuck did you come from and why do you slam on the brakes so hard!" |

Since we are on this subject, does anyone have a recommendation for a beach running shoe?

What I'm looking for now is a specific shoe to run on the beach (in the water), so they have to be able to get wet a lot. I know there are some specific shoes for that. |
On a side note, I get pissed by the people who jog down a busy street full of pedestrians and say "excuse me...move" when they are coming up from behind and then hit you. Fuck that...go run somewhere less crowed like a path or something like that. there are loads of them everywhere in toronto yet these idiots would rather run through yorkville.

sweetie, you really need to have a Zen moment... breath deeply... exhale...
|
maybe you should take up rowing?
assuming there are no fatties or puppies rowing in your way |
