Chechen Mercenaries not russian troops did the dirty work. So the russians were not lying when they said they are not in georgia.

this was preplanned, coldblooded metated murder of a small country.

It's very hard to believe anything the Russian or U.S. news reports regarding to war.

Both sides have entire disinformation departments that work closely with journalists/news stations/newspapers.

Where have you heard what exactly the second side says? As far as I know, all the western media companies (CNN/FOX/BBC and even EuroNews) speak for Georgia only. These nothing about Georgian attack against South Ossetia and Russian peace keepers there. CNN even shown footage of Tshinvali and stated it was Gori. Watch this:

As about Chechen "Vostok" battalion. I don't believe to lying western media, but according to Russian news - these guys were in Gori (I wrote about it a few days ago in other thread here on GFY). Actually they came to South Ossetia one of the first because Chechnya is near of Georgia.

P.S. Chechnya is a part of Russia and "Vostok" battalion is REGULAR MILITARY UNIT which is under command of Russian president. So I don't see any problems with participation of "Vostok" in that military operation.

Ralph Peters sucks a donkey dick because "Vostok" guys are not mercenaries. They are regular forces of Russian Federation.
