Help me build the most complete listing of blog directories possible. I'm sure many would find it useful to have such a list.

Code a crawler, and crawl the web your ass off?

lists are becoming more guarded

and the ones you do find don't contain the real gems

btw you shouldn't really be wasting your time with blog directories imo

search for posts started by my boy dynastoned i added quite a few earlier this year in his posts

I submitted my blogs to a bunch of blog directories from a list that I purchased a while ago on here for $10 and only a handful actually sent any traffic. I guess it was worth $10, but many of the directories either didn't list my blogs or clearly had no traffic themselves to send even one hit after almost two months.

just google for "sex blogs" or "porn blogs" (without the quotes).. those dirs that come up on page #1 might actually send you some traffic.

Can you elaborate on this?

For adult, blog dir's are a nice and simple way to get some traffic and pr rank after a period of time. For mainstream, you pay for the few good directories, and screw the others.

Directory sites often get nailed by Google and/or the links out are devalued. So unless you are going to get traffic from them - they aren't worth it in the long run.
