Ok Someone Set Me Straight On This Georgia/Ossetia Thing
Ok Someone Set Me Straight
By MikeSouth On this whole Georgia/Ossetia thing. As I understand it South Ossetia has been aligned with Russia for some time, it is geographically a part of Georgia right on the Georgia Russia Border, but is doesn?t want to be a part of Georgia. Ok along comes Georgia and attacks South Ossetia because they want to bring them back into Georgia. Russia comes to their defense. Now why is the USA even concerned about this? What business of ours is in this? So George Bush is rattling our sabre but in reality Russia could roll tanks through Georgia all the way to the Black Sea and there aint a fucking thing Bush could do about it short of starting a nuclear war. So Bush has a war on two fronts, Afghanistan and Iraq, is preparing for war on a third front with Iran, and now wants to threaten Russia? Im I wrong in thinking this is just pure insanity? |

You are missing a lot of other things that have taken place. What you just typed out is not the full story. There are many, many factors involved. And the United States is not the only country concerned, so is Europe... Western Europe is a little more hesitant about taking any stance because they are so dependent on Russia's energy resources. Georgia was a way out of depending on Russia for energy... now that may not be so. And that is just one of the factors involved.
It's pretty complex. We cannot read a dozen articles that were written over the past two weeks and get a full grasp of the situation. |
If people are being killed it can generally be assumed insanity is involved.

not too late for a sig spot?

It is NONE of the USA's business what is going on there. We attack anyone we see fit, yet condemn anyone else who engages in war. More than likely because we are not profiting from this war.
If the USA wants to swing it's big dick around, go swing it in Sudan where it can make a real difference. Oh wait, there would be nothing in it for us over their either. Better to condemn them and threaten sanctions. Yea, that does the trick. It's worked well for Cuba. |

See here is how it is.
1: Dont worry America wont be sending troops. What happens over there American politician can truly give two shits about. However the heartfelt need to help people wishing to defend themselves can not be refused. And many will agree that a strong defense amoung those countries is now necessary. 2: Be assured that America will now have arm's and weapons buyers all throughout that region for many many years to come, along with huge missile defense contracts. In short Russia attacking Georgia is going to be a big payroll for America. Most all of you will believe the hype that Russia is the evil monster aggressor and all of Europe will believe it now and well with good reason. So America is gonna make fuck loads of cash getting the defense up in that region. Thanks Russkies! It's a win win! Well a win lose for Russia but thats the status quo for them dumb asses. |
