what a mess... total carnage

It was the nastiest crash I have seen in a long time, worse than the start of the last melbourne GP.

Very wet track, some drivers said they could barely see 5ft in front of them.

More rain is on the way

I hope the restart isnt as messy.

It was stupid to start the race in that weather.

The replay from the car cam was sick.

Apparently CART officials said that the first lap would be run in one line and nobody was allowed to pass.

But Junqueira tried to pass Damata and all hell broke loose.

What a stupid jerk!

I'd hate to be that driver, all he could see was the tyre coming straight at his head at over 60mph and there wasn't a damn thing he could do to get out of the way.

race cars should be equipped with 50caliber machine guns...much better than some stupid little wrecks
