Whenever you've absolutely lost it with your puppy... here's how to solve 100% of your problems...

Take a newspaper... roll it up, and smack the shit out of yourself for not understanding his/her needs properly and guiding him/her through proper training.

And in some cases, swap rolled up newspaper for baseball bat. :2 cents:

My puppy is well behaved and it's hard to find a Golden that's not. We had gone to this really nice dog park that was on a lake and they had this " time out " pen which I thought was pretty funny because I couldn't imagine why it would be needed. We stopped for a pic.

My dog loves the water and will chase stuff all day long. It's in his blood and and his pursuit was relentlees to the point of no other dogs stood a chance.

Someone would throw a ball into the water and my dog would take off like Michael Phelps going for his ninth gold medal...
http://www.thewoop.com/public_html/promo/dog/lake11.jpg

First to the ball he would proudly retrieve it....

It didn't matter who showed up with their fancy new ball...
http://www.thewoop.com/public_html/promo/dog/lake8.jpg

All he would do is throw a body block and the chase was on...
http://www.thewoop.com/public_html/promo/dog/lake9.jpg

Trash talking all the way to the ball
http://www.thewoop.com/public_html/promo/dog/lake13.jpg

Running up and down the beach looking for any and all challengers
http://www.thewoop.com/public_html/promo/dog/lake17.jpg

There was no disputing his total domination of the water leaving the rest to chase butterflies on the beach
http://www.thewoop.com/public_html/promo/dog/lake10.jpg

The bitches were fighting over him
http://www.thewoop.com/public_html/promo/dog/lake4.jpg

Put him in a pen, I don't think so. He's right where he belongs :winkwink:

Those Golden retrievers are just a bundle of energy at times

Justinsain, great pictorial by the way.

Your dog rocks, obviously. Most people don't spend enough (or any) time training their mutt, so the mutt misbehaves and everyone including the dog is miserable. Most dog owners are just useless lazy twits that think a dog is just supposed to learn by getting yelled at constantly, and in a lot of cases smacked around.

Nice to see it when someone has actually spent time with the pooch and the dog looks happy.

Thanks :)

There's so much responsibillity that comes with caring for a dog. he was eight months when I rescued him and while the previous owner had good intentions, He quickly discovered he didn't have nearly the amount of time required to properly care for him. With the internet at our finger tips the answer to almost any problem is easily accessible so ignorance isn't acceptable.

When I agreed to take him I knew I had the time, place and resources to give him a long, happy and healthy life. We have so much fun at the dog parks where he gets to socialize with other dogs and people and play in the lake. He would stay in the water ALL day long if he could. I hope that comes through in the pictures.

In the end all I can hope for is that I'm as good a person as my dog thinks I am
