Pros and Cons of living waterfront
Please clue me in!
water front? beach, river, lake, bay??
those weird bugs you dont see every day are creepy
lake or river.
I would not like the cold off the water.
the effect the end of the world polar shift of 2012 will have on all bodies of water... should be interesting .. lol
I live on the beach,
pros: great view 10 hours a day, cool air, cons: high price, no privacy, limited parking, sand and salt water corrosion. friends think I should pay for everything because I live at the beach and can afford to. |
its different if its fresh water or salt water, but both are great. Flooding is the only disadvantage. But I dont think there is much of a down side if you have a view of water. I have the view of a lake and its still pretty cool
I've lived on one of the great lakes my entire life and the only disadvantage I can say is you get used to the view and don't appreciate it anymore!
con: high priced flood insurance
Pros:
1./ It's nice view & breeze, also if you have a boat, jet skis and stuff like that you have them ready to go. (no trailering boat ramps etc etc) 2./ You won't get trashy neighbors. 3./ You will have an easier time selling it than non waterfront. 4./ Holds value in a slump and increases in value higher and faster than non waterfront. Cons: 1./ Costs more. ie: Prop tax, ins, plus extra flood ins. etc etc.... 2./ More bugs and critters, coons, etc etc... 3./ Salt 4./ Stronger wind from hurricanes, 5./ More danger from flood surge. |
