There are always way too many problems with new products when they first come out. I don't like the idea of paying a premium price for a product to be a guinea pig.

If they offered massive rebates and it was the price of a typical gas vehicle, I would consider it.

I'd buy one but i'd rather have a long range plug-in hybrid(most of the plug in hybrids have small range when running on electricity only) so you can use it if you do longer stretchs.

EVs are great if where you are electricity is cheap or if you produce your own electricity(solar setup)

And Quagmire, the EV's already came out about 10 years ago. Some Toyotas EVs are still running as they are the only ones that were not pulled from circulation and destroyed.

I guess for me it would depend on how much it cost, what its range was and how it was to drive. If it was reasonably comfortable to drive, had a decent range and a decent price and I was in the market for a new car I would get one.

do a search for the Tesla Roadster... Lotus type design.. 250 miles on one charge.. costs like 2 bucks for electricity each time.. I like sports cars so this was a no-brainer for me.. but this one is very expensive.. not too fond of the lame looking Prius but at 40+mpg its no wonder they're everywhere..

the technology is here.. it'll soon result in cheaper vehicles.. then theres hydrogen-based cars and air-compressed engines, etc.. fuck the oil companies, its time for positive change.

certainly there will be issues but what car doesnt...
never have to buy gas again..
tell me thats not cool.

I never buy a car when its new to the market, especially electric. Give them 2-3 years to deal with the recalls and problems and then buy a new one.
