Who is going and what are the plans? Looking forward to meeting some new people.

Evil E 08-14-2008 09:21 AM

I'll be having the first drink of the night in the suite Thursday night.

Looking to meet new people.

JFK 08-14-2008 09:23 AM

See you guys there :thumbsup

MichaelP 08-14-2008 02:38 PM

<=== I think I should be there :winkwink:

Honez 08-14-2008 02:41 PM

My ticket is booked, I pick up my Passport tomorrow and I am off to Montreal for the first time in 7 years next week!

Looking forward to seeing everyone :)

2MuchMark 08-14-2008 02:45 PM

We are based in Montreal and our offices are only a couple of blocks away from the Hotel and trade show, so of course we will be the first ones there, and the last ones to leave.

For the early arrivals, I suggest a steak dinner at Moisha's. Who's in?

We are really looking forward to welcoming everyone to our city and to MichelP's fantastic show. We are very happy to be a part of this important and valuable show. We invite everyone reading this to attend all 3 of our suite / networking parties, and remind everyone not to forget HotMovies-Monica's birthday bash on the last night of the Qwebec Expo show. It will be a very special party.

Thank you again Mr. P. for inviting all of us to be a part of the Qwebec Expo. We can't wait!

Your friends,
The entire 2Much.net and LiveCamNetwork.com Crew.

Evil E 08-14-2008 02:58 PM

I've never been to Moishe so I would love to try it, if you allow locals at the dinner :)

TheStout 08-14-2008 03:10 PM

Looking forward to meeting some of you. I will be arriving Friday morning what are the plans for Friday evening?

Sharky 08-15-2008 12:38 AM

I get in Thursday @2pm.

My first time in Montreal, I'm excited.

If anyone wants to meet up, LMK!

Due 08-15-2008 01:50 AM

Can't wait to get there :thumbsup:thumbsup

Doug of Montreal 08-15-2008 05:42 AM

Moishas? Really Mark?? I've had dinner there a few times and I really am not impressed. They have good steak but the atmosphere is stuffy and so are the old men waiting on you. $50 gets you a nice steak but nothing else. Head down to the Old Port, where it's beautiful, roll into Gibbys which used to be an old stable, sit in their dimly lit dining room and have beautiful French ladies (the motherly types) serve you a FULL meal for $50, including salad or soup (both are yummy), sorbet and your main. Finish it off with a flaming Brazilian coffee and you will have had a steak as good as Moishas, a firely spectacle to end things off and a MUCH better overall experience. And go one further, tell them it's someones bday and get a kick-ass cake to go along with it. So yummy!

Sharky! Honez! It will be good to see you both north of the 49th. Lets do it up!

Evil Chris 08-15-2008 05:46 AM

Doug, Moishes is a Montreal landmark. The atmosphere is part of the whole process. Their entire menu is worth trying (over time of course)...
Gibby's is right up there as well.

I'm glad to see that some new faces will be coming to Montreal for Michael's show this year. Of course I will be there and am looking forward to seeing everyone!

Domain Diva 08-15-2008 06:01 AM

wooooohooooooooo home town show.:)

I will be there in full force with the Global-Acces promo girls :thumbsup

look forward to seeing everyone

I get that it's a landmark... and I know it's rated as one of the top steak joints in town... but the whole "atmosphere is part of the whole process" thing I just don't get. For some, maybe it's nostalgic... but it just seems lacking where it could be kicking it up a notch. If you're going to make something a "thing," I'd just like to see it knocking it out of the park in all areas.

My rant is done. I've always had a great meal there and have always been in solid company, which helps. (Thanks, SexSearch, for the last dinner I had there!) I just needed to vent. ;)

vidvicious 08-15-2008 07:53 AM

honez !!!! sweet can't wait to see ya !

I'll be around to answer any and all your questions ...

Sharky see ya in a weeek

MichaelP 08-15-2008 12:18 PM

Less than a week now :)

Doug of Montreal 08-15-2008 02:00 PM

I'm just happy I don't have to travel for this one. I've been away enough in the past month. To much time in airports and hotels and cabs and places without AC. it will be so nice to party and then hit my own bed. That, and my minibar bill is much less expensive.

:)

madawgz 08-15-2008 06:54 PM

i might be there :)

MichaelP 08-18-2008 02:38 PM

Only Few dodos now

Evil E 08-18-2008 02:46 PM

Cool, so is Mark or Doug making a reservation for Thursday? And when you say diner would that be in the afternoon? Because de suite pre-party starts at 6.

Also question for Michael: Is the Qwebec now the only show in Canada? Did WAE move to NYC last year?

TheStout 08-18-2008 02:57 PM

From what I heard the WAE is back in Toronto next year.

Yes WAE is back in Toronto next year and is scheduled to take place in May .

Kevsh 08-18-2008 06:05 PM

I'm flying in this time, should be there mid-afternoon so I'd love to get together for dinner - whether Doug or Mark wins on the location ;)

Nah, come on, I think Patty pretty much has things in control. You can go play golf...

:D

MediaGuy 08-18-2008 06:46 PM

Actually you know what? We should have a welcome dinner for Montreal first timers!

Or maybe a tour or pub crawl... you know, something that is truly welcoming and provides for a fine sampling of the Montreal flavours...

Hmmm sounds like an idea....

We could call it the Montreal Virgin Buster Brawl or something...

Yeah yeah?

:D

I don't want anyone to argue, but I'll go with the first one that confirms a reservation and date/time(and also that I'm invited :).

That being said, Doug's description made my mouth water so I am a little biased.

MediaGuy 08-18-2008 08:17 PM

Gotta bump this with another great steak option: even closer to the 2much offices and a better deal than Gibby's is Old Montreal's The Keg - and I know there's some Montreal webmasters who'll back me on this.

Steaks to die for, great wine, and better prices - plus a handy next-door bar to boot!

:D

MediaGuy 08-18-2008 09:23 PM

Bump bump bump - ya'll coming to town mouhahahah.

:D

buddyjuf 08-18-2008 09:46 PM

I might come party with you guys on 1 or 2 of the nights :)

are you guys booking the clubs completely? will I be able to drop by?

MediaGuy 08-18-2008 09:55 PM

Actually yeah the clubs are pretty much solid - they're bracelet-entry only.

You can't do the hotel? Badge gets you in, in gets you bracelets...

:D

spacedog 08-18-2008 10:05 PM

Wanted to go since I can drive up and be there in a few hours but can't make it now.

Yeah, sorry about that! Both are great... and there are other places, too. Moishes is closer to home for me. I was just yapping. All you have to say is "rib eye steak" and I'll follow you to the ends of the earth...

vidvicious 08-19-2008 06:34 AM

so who's joining us for golf ? what time you getting in Jenni ??

myjah 08-19-2008 06:37 AM

Kenny B! 08-19-2008 06:57 AM

Hey Dougie, I think it's time you moved back to Orangeville before you start talking shit about Moishas! and comparing it to other places. Remind me to smack you the next time I see you.
