Can they ask for this?
 

One ppc company ask all this data so they can send me check:

1. Server logs containing IP’s and timestamps for your traffic.
2. A detailed description of how your site generates traffic.
3. Valid Photo ID (driver's license, passport) - I already cashed few checks from them with no problems.
4. A copy of a recent utility bill for your address on file - WTF?
5. Include a coversheet containing your username and email address - WTF2?

plus i buy traffic from them, paying with my CC (same account works for publisher/advertiser, they billed me 4 some traffic yesterday), they did't ask anything on this side...

who is it? i'd call them..

Well they might have found something strange in your traffic. You should not be worried if its a reputable company and your traffic is ledgit (ie. no bot traffic or loading from an iframe on a different domain).

Well hey, interesting idea instead of paying webmasters to promote me, I'll make them tell me all about their traffic. Somehow.. I don't think that will. Hmmm..

Seriously, that sounds like a lot of information - above and beyond anything necessary for tax records.

If you signed a W4 then Yes

I can see why they ask for it but I would never tell someone how I generate traffic in detail.
