Which gadgets of the last 15 years have had the most impact on your life?

Which gadgets that have become mainstream in the last 15 or so years had the most impact on your life? I am not talking life changing but to the point where you can't imagine easily going back to not having them.

I am going to throw digital cameras (after having some 600 wedding pictures I can't imagine having to get all of those on actual film and developed) and tivo/sky plus (I am an addict).

What about you?

Computers.

About 15 years ago I bought my first one and it has changed my life.

Made it a ficking misery. :1orglaugh

For me it would have to be the dvd disc/recorder for the pc i guess!
But the digi cam is a close second for sure.

Tivo. Plain and simple. Can't imagine living without it. Broadband would be a close second.

Did they only become mainstream in the last 15 or so? I can't remember not having one. Well, I can but I was in 1st grade.

Apparently mobiles have changed the way phone is spelled..seriously, text speak is one bad thing to come out of them. Yes, I know how old that makes me sound.

If you consider the internet a gaget, then that would have to be it. Pretty much every aspect of my life would be different without it.

The Duck 08-12-2008 05:39 AM

:2 cents:

I could not imagine living without the Internet...I thought about cell phones, but I actually think my life may be better without one!!!

But, the Internet...I mean, can you imagine wondering what the population of Latvia is or where the hell exactly Georgia is and having to go look it up in an Encyclopedia at the library?!? I would be the stupidest person ever without the Internet!

Sarah_Jayne 08-12-2008 10:50 AM

Yeah, not sure if the internet is a gadget as I was thinking.

Sid70 08-12-2008 11:17 AM
