And the tube sites get worse and worse...

xhamster.com

Many 30+ minute videos, doesn't even pretend to have a DMCA policy, allows unregistered, anonymous uploads.

Alexa rank: 237 and rising.

TopBucks content:

And I see a lot of TB (and other) content that is watermarked with the domain "perfectwi.com" which re-directs to a DVDBox white label

Ya xhamster is pretty bad. Ive informed all the sponsors I work with when I find something on there. I think they have/had all of the Liz Vicious movies on there at one time. I never heard back from Jayman to see if he did something about it.

I take it you're a surfer?

how is this any different than how content has always been stolen and distributed in the past?

what changed?

why is this conversation any different than one being had in 1998 about usenet? same exact thing was happening... same "oh my god, theres no end in sight...eventually no one will ever pay for porn" conversations were going on at netpond/ynot and elsewhere.

I think the difference is the ease of use and not having to downloading anything.

For one thing, usenet wasn't as direct a competitor as tube sites are. Usenet required at least some knowledge of the internet (such as knowing it even exists), and even then wasn't nearly as easy to use are tube sites are.

Just look at the ridiculously dominant market position tube sites have already gotten. For fun, take a look at the most popular 500 sites according to Alexa, and look at the adult sites. Tube sites and filesharing sites beat pretty much everything else.

Just curious, when you say "sponsors" do you mean the site has affiliate links and/or the programs are advertising on the site.

As an example, some tube sites clearly have videos uploaded by the programs (with advertising in them) or have custom advertisements on their pages. Not sure if it's easy to tell the difference if the site is just an affiliate or advertiser for the programs - but clearly there is a moral difference ... the first is bad, the second worse.

Everytime you put a hard link up for them on this board or anywhere on the interwebs you increase there incoming link count....

You are one of the biggest waste I have ever seen take up board space around here... Shut the fuck up when the big boys are having a chew...!

One of the things that Bush campaigned on was his stand against porn. During his Presidency he has seen more people watch more unregulated porn than ever before. Today any 12 year old can access porn, can upload and download it and the restriction on it's distribution have never been looser.

The DOJs campaign on 2257 was a joke, protecting children from porn was a joke, stopping underage people performing in porn movies is also a joke. Because today all you need is a connection to the Internet, a camera and some basic skills. Another good one for GWB. :thumbsup

This is besides the money we have lost as an industry.

And yes for the record I have always thought porn and the Internet needs regulating. Because unregulated it's costing me money. And no I don't have the answers on how to do it.
