DWB 08-11-2008 04:39 PM

I would probably say just the opposite.

Snap3 08-11-2008 04:54 PM

Im just in the thougts of things that makes the buyer not to buy .. ccbill is one thing i could came up with. Even tho i trust ccbill more then anything else :)

BV 08-11-2008 04:58 PM

CCBill does not allow prechecked cross sales so they should have a better reputation amongst buyers as it is more unlikely for them to get fucked up the ass by a ccbill webmaster.

Snap3 08-11-2008 05:01 PM

sounds good :)

it's also ccbill EU, but i doubt that matters

bizarrejan 08-11-2008 05:27 PM

slapass 08-11-2008 06:29 PM

Wrong.

They've recently added them in the last few months. Those are what all the 12clicks "ccbill programs contact me for mad bling!" threads have been for.

Here's an example ... check the ccbill join form

http://dixiedash.com/join.html

Plenty of desperate idiots run ccbill programs, so they'd be ripe for the picking. I can just image the happy dance crosssale guys did when CCBill started allowing them.

oh jeesus i remember now, :(

BV 08-11-2008 06:51 PM

isn't that stinkyfingers site?

Paul Markham 08-11-2008 10:59 PM

We opened an affiliate program on Epoch about three months ago and very pleased with the ratios. It bounces some to CCBILL if they refuse it. The other one is CCBILL and the affiliates who moved over were very pleased.

No idea why.

Iron Fist 08-11-2008 11:22 PM

Xsales on CCBill are clearly marked including pricing.... can't say so much for other programs that use alternate billing platforms...

Sad situation, CCB stoops to new lows. The surfer can't even use the browser back button in this particular case.

That's a big distinction. Those ones are clearly marked and ABOVE the submit button. I would prefer they be un-checked, but I could live with those even though I wouldn't use them.

Peace 08-12-2008 01:33 AM

I think CCbill is Ok

ilbb 08-12-2008 02:29 AM

I think the opposite...they LOVE it because it's here for years

biskoppen 08-12-2008 02:38 AM

IT IS SO FUCKING DISAPPOINTING THAT CCBILL NOW IS GOING TO SUPPORT THIS PRECHECKED CROSS SELL HELL WHICH IS DESTROYING THIS BUSINESS BIT BY BIT ON A DAILY BASIS

biskoppen 08-12-2008 02:42 AM

There's no other reason for a prechecked sales than to cheat the customer!... why is it exactly that the site is taking the decision for him to click this cross sale?!... It's only done with the hope of him not seeing it no matter how green and how visible it is...

Prechecked cross sale = scam

That is far from true.

If the customer can see it, it is up to them if they want to check out other sites for a discount. It may or may not be a scam based on the deal they are getting and the site they are joining up to.

Cross sales should be looked at on a case by case basis before you can say they are only to cheat the customer.

And keep in mind, the customer can always uncheck it. NOBODY is forcing them to not look at the entire join page or to not pay attention. I know when I buy something online, I read everything and look at the secure page I'm on. I check it all out, if anything looks hooky, I don't buy. Perhaps what is needed is a smarter class of surfers. :2 cents:

Its not the Prechecked cross sales that is hurting the biz. Its the idiot promoting those sites that do it to themselves. If they didn't get the promotion on these $200pps days, then they'd have to remove the Prechecked cross sales. So quit bitching about people that do this and put a stop to it. It really is easy to do. Just Don't promote them.

Most ccbill programs are REVSHARE though.

BluMedia 08-17-2008 05:55 PM

Where have you guys been? CCBill has been doing this for years.

Pre-checked xsales have been around forever and are not an adult only thing. The problem is xsales that aren't clearly marked and/or under the submit button.

The site they are cross selling and the site sold have to maintain the cb and refund policy staying away from danger zone and can't rotate merchant accounts. If anyone was screwing the surfer over they wouldn't be processing with a 3rd party processor.

Easy to say.. I only ONCE EVER promoted a $100+ pps promo until I figured out why or what I was promoting, needless to say I was a little naive and didn't understand how the sponsor got all that cash, or how hard it actually is to get a PPS sale period (ever read the Terms on a PPS sale day - yeah the fine print? It's hilarious...)

I have not or will not ever promote another PPS promo day again. It's really not worth it in the LONG run - my style is slow and steady - and i'm consistent. But the real problem is there's another idiot ready to promote them, so the circle jerk just keeps on running... :error
