Question for Poles, Czechs, and Eastern Europeans

What kind of effect is the Russian/Georgian situation having on your people?

For the Poles and Czechs, does this change your opinion at all about the radar system? Even though it was said not to be targeted at Russia.

Estonians, Lithuanians, Latvians... does the Russian aggressiveness concern you at all? Or does it not phase you due to yourNATO status or for other reasons?

I forgot to mention Ukrainians... it looks like the Ukrainian politicians are concerned.

Ukraine is the only country of the ones you mentioned that has anything to worry about. One you didn't mention, that should worry as well, is Moldova (which has a situation that has some similarities to the Georgian one, with the Transnistrian region).

The countries that are members of the EU and/or NATO have nothing to worry about. If Russia would invade any of those, it would mean WWIII, with Russia being on the losing side - unless Russia were to use nukes, in which case the entire world would be on the losing side.

You pretty much confirmed what my thoughts were... I just wanted to hear from somebody closer to the situation.

Keep in mind, though, that Ukraine's worries should mainly be economical, and Moldova... well, it wouldn't dare to really provoke Russia.

I really don't see why Eastern European countries would have a reason to be worried.

Keep in mind that Georgia bombed South Ossetia with over 2000 civilians dead, many of them identifying selves as Russians, before Russia made the decision to counter attack. I don't see Ukraine launching missles on the south of Russia anytime soon...
