Best Restaurants in Los Angeles?
I'll be flying in next week and wanted to try some of the top rated restaurants. Any recommendations?
Last time I was here I tried the following and all were excellent. - Jiraffe in Santa Monica - Arroyo Chop House in Pasadena - Pace in Laurel Canyon - La Serenata De Garibaldi in East LA Please include what their best dish is. Thanks :) |
Koi is popular, I only ate their once but it was delicious I think it's in W.Hollywood if I remember right.

Check out Yelp.com shows lots of user reviews on Restaurants...And koi is good its in West Hollywood on La Cienega
|
Some of my favorites are:
Via Veneto (Italian), Main Street, Santa Monica Yabu (Japanese, known for its noodles), Pico Blvd., WLA Uzen (sushi), Santa Monica Blvd, near Bundy, WLA Urazawa (Japanese), Rodeo Drive, BH ($$$$$) La Frite, (French), Ventura Blvd., Sherman Oaks I think there's a Serenata here in Santa Monica, too. Have fun! |
Sona in west Hollywood was good. Eclectic tasting menu, good wine list.
Also enjoyed the restaurant at Hotel Bel Air. Also with a nice wine list, great atmosphere. Of course, the natives will say I have it all wrong. :) |
Cafe La Boheme in West Hollywood on Santa Monica
look it up online.. amazing place.. not sure about the plates lately but great food and ambiance.. and of course, a bit less upscale but fun... the Rainbow Bar and Grill for a local whos who of hot babes, musicians and wannabe rockstars.. and dont mind the Cypress Hill crew out on the front patio smokin blunts.. the restaurant is dimly lit, rock music, celeb-spot.. food is top notch, compares to any restaurant, no shit... the Filet mignon, Lobster, chicken marsala are to die for and the pizza is best anywhere.. order a small, its a large believe me. have fun -pd |

Avoid that 'Hells Kitchen' place run by chef Ramsey...
I keep seeing these hour long commercials for it on TV... But, it doesn't look good though... Chefs are a bunch of wannabees if you ask me... |
Hit up the King Taco right off the 710 fwy on Cesar Chavez. It's right next to the old graveyard.
