I just love airport delays

Stuck at the Ft Lauderdale airport with a delay which may turn into a cancellation. Even with just the delay I'm gonna have fun getting out of Atlanta to Seattle later tonight. Who knows where my checked luggage will end up. At least, my work stuff, CCs, and jewelry is with me.

Wish me luck.

Had a great time at Internext.

Good luck! Great to see you.

On my flight two families almost got kicked off for fighting over the smell of a cat.

tranza 08-11-2008 02:14 PM

Fuck, I just hate airport delays! They happen all the time down here in Brazil.

I feel your pain PK, good luck!

Supz 08-11-2008 02:17 PM

MaDalton 08-11-2008 02:26 PM

Sharky 08-11-2008 03:27 PM

I got stuck last night. 2hr+ delay for an hour flight. lol. could be worse... but sucked as I was late picking up my kids:-(

wyldblyss 08-11-2008 03:30 PM

Sorry to hear that. I usually luck out and rarely get delayed

PAR 08-11-2008 04:27 PM

PK sounds like you and Platinum Bryan should never fly on the same flight I've seen it take more then 36 hours for him to fly 3000 miles.. would have been faster to drive...
Good luck on the rest of your travels..

I feel your pain, got out of lauderdale, only to be stuck in Philly for 6 hrs, total pandamonium there, but at least we got home, HOWEVER no luggage still :(
:thumbsup

shekinah 08-11-2008 06:25 PM

yikes... wish you luck tho!:)

GTS Mark 08-11-2008 09:24 PM

We left yesterday at 4:25pm from Ft Lauderdale. Took us 7 hours to get to philly and we missed our connection... Ended up stranded overnight in Philly with us booked on the next flight today at 3pm. No hotel rooms available, ended up getting a room in some ghetto travelodge downtown with crackheads roaming the streets and drunks sitting around in the lobby LOL!

If you want to hear the whole story hop over to JBM i posted it there. I just got in like 4 hours ago LOL! Took us like 30 hours to get home!

tony286 08-11-2008 09:33 PM

Damn, boy I dont miss air travel.

J$tyle$ 08-11-2008 10:19 PM

That F*#KING S*CKS!!!

:winkwink:

I had a GREAT time with you the past few days, PK ... and even my old friend Bama!

Thanks again for a delicious dinner last night. It was a nice place, with good company and conversation :thumbsup :thumbsup

The weather here was shi*ty all afternoon so I worked in the room most of the day ... and I'm leaving the Diplomat (in the middle of rush hour) at 8am for my flight back to LA at 11:15am. Now, every year for the past 5 years my flight out has been delayed. What do you think the odds are that its going to happen again this time?

LOL

Get some rest, girl - you deserve it!

D Ghost 08-11-2008 10:32 PM

Jay-Rock 08-11-2008 10:36 PM

I got on a plane to orlando to connect this morning and woke up 5 hours later in Hartford Conn. They failed to wake me so it took me 7 additional hours and 2 more planed to get back to Houston, TX. I guess I was exhausted from Internext.

Have you seen your income increase since you started going to shows?

Violetta 08-12-2008 12:05 AM

hehe.. good luck!

Bama 08-12-2008 01:44 AM

Yea, I got delayed in FLL airport 30 minutes, then delayed landing in Denver 30 minutes so I missed my Seattle connection.

Had to wait for the next flight out and just got in myself. I loved the beds at the Westin, but I'm really looking forward to my own pillows tonight!

kmanrox 08-12-2008 01:58 AM

peeks, i gotta say i still can't believe you're Ms Webmaster show nowadays! I always loved the 'mystical' PK who nobody had the honor of meeting... like the Queen of internet porn.. elusive...

Had a blast hanging out, Jonathan. Don't think we could have picked a better dinner spot Sunday night. Quiet and great food. I don't normally book late afternoon flights where I have to make connections just in case there's issues. Don't know why I did it this time.

I'm headed to bed in a bit (I think I remember where it is).

Had to get my working files all back on my desktop first. I'm just to anal about things like that. I use a bat file to copy files to and from a memory stick, always carry that separate from my laptop. This time I didn't even have to pull the laptop back out and I'm all set back on my desktop. No late night work for me though although I just looked at the clock and it's 2 am.

See you soon. Tell RB he missed out once again ;)

Ouch! I popped a half an xanax so I could sleep on the longer leg of my flight and told the lady next to me not to leave me on the plane.

You must have been hidden away most of the weekend. I don't think I got to meet you.

My 3:40 didn't go until 5:45. I made arrangements in advance for the last flight out from Atlanta to Seattle. I missed my original connection by just over an hour. I had about 20 minutes to get to the later flight (other end of the terminal too). Made it, but I hate being the last on the plane even flying First. Now I'm hoping I don't have to battle with the airline about the double booking, etc.

I've never really been impressed with the "heavenly beds". I think my nice king size pillow top Joseph Abboud is much nicer.

elusive.. reclusive. I'm still no 'easy'. It's only my second show. Timing is just right these days. My boys are grown now. Traveling still can be a pain, but once I'm in the air and on the way, it's all fun.

So when do I meet the elusive Kman?

Vegas in January, or XBiz Hollywood, or Phoenix Forum. Not sure which one or ones, yet.

Although after talking a bit about the Florida show my sons swear I'm never going without one or the other of them to a show. Like I need a body guard (eyeroll). They just wanna drool at the ladies.

Sarah_Jayne 08-12-2008 03:00 AM

They are never fun..my worst was 12 hours in O'Hare while I had a pretty heavy dose of the flu. Joy.

I will do whatever I can to avoid connecting flights. That is the one single most thing I hate about traveling.

I will tell RB :winkwink:

Here's my flight story from today ...

Got to Miami airport 2 hrs before my flight.
Security was a breeze.
Had a Mint Mocha Frap at Starbucks.
Bought some t-shirts and hats for the kids.
Sat down and read a magazine.
Boarded early.
Took off on time.
Slept comfortably for almost the entire flight on a plane that was 95% booked and nobody next to me
Landed early.
Driver met me and took my carry-on bags.
Walked over to the carousel and my other bag was the 9th one off.
Got in the Town Car.
Hit ZERO traffic which is great for 2pm.
Got home in 45 minutes.

I know, I'm lucky

O MARINA 08-12-2008 05:36 PM

It was great seeing you! I hope that the rest of your flight back was less dramatic. Say hi to the cats for me.
