CHANGES IN THE WAY WE DO BUSINESS. On the content stores.

With the recent events and the offers we made on the content it's clear many people want budget priced sets. So we have decided to reduce the cost of a lot of the sets on Paul Markham Content Store and moved more over to Bargain Basement Content Store.

The new semi exclusive sets and videos in Paul Markham Content Store. Have not gone so well and a few lucky people it seems have bought exclusive for very good prices. Not sure if this is what the market wants at this time.
Hit me up on ICQ 213327873 or Skype paulmarkham1 if you need semi exclusive.

Still going to continue with the offer. NO REASONABLE OFFER REFUSED.

On both of the content stores. We also will keep the 50% off on all orders over $200.

THOSE DO WHO WANT SEMI EXCLUSIVE CONTENT HIT ME UP ON ICQ 213 327 873 or Skype paulmarkham1. We have more and need to decide if it's worth releasing it as semi exclusive or sell it low priced. Seems more people want cheap content than those who want semi exclusive.

The other news is a long time friend and work colleague of mine has come to live and work in Brno. He has decades of experience shooting for top end magazines, Playboy and Penthouse, and video companies and we will be working together.

So anyone looking for good quality custom content hit me up, can now produce it. Those looking for a deal on the content I turn out can also hit me up as we will be shooting more custom work.

Check out the content on and the prices. Then make an offer.

Bargain Basement Content Store. We have also included the rights to give content from this site to your affiliates. For no extra cost.

Paul Markham Content Store.

Paul, whoever you have asked to write your posts really doesn't have a great grasp of English. Maybe set them up a seperate account so people don't get confused between your real posts and the ones like this.

Yes the content market is a good indication of how this business is going. Hard times indeed and we're adapting to them.

The magazines have slowed down, DVD is not as good as it was and the Internet we all know about. So clue in all the people who will tell you it's better than it ever has been. :)

I do know that for a lot of people it's not as good as it was and many are leaving the biz or looking for the door. Some very big names as well. The big sponsors who were paying crews to shoot here on a very regular basis have mostly gone. Some big custom shooters have gone and some are trying different ways of doing business to survive.

I'm discounting and if people want to buy cheap they need only hit me up on ICQ.

Yes changing times.

Well, we are still doing well, and not afraid to post our ratios. But I also do not just sell content. We sell and market with our stuff from A-Z.

But you're right toots. I've talked to some other content producers, and they are hurting as well, just as your described. Some worse, some doing better setting up their own store fronts. A lot of the programs are not buying, and most are not sales men or have no interest in the day to day running of pay sites, clip stores, and the rest.

I think you're right that the future is selling on different levels. The problem is some levels are disappearing. I read on YNOT this morning that a lot of adult stores are closing down, I know DVD sales have plummeted and magazines are a very hard sale.

In ten years I've watched this industry go from something anyone could make a living from to something very few can make a living from.

Makes you wonder about the honesty of many who claim to be doing better than ever, what were they doing, what are they doing that's really special or how lucky are they?

I still dont understand why the porn stars rates are still 1000 - 1200$, you would think the rate will be down by now.

fastboy 08-11-2008 10:24 PM

thanks Paul for awesome deal, it is pleasure doing business with you

Frankly, from what I have found, some are more innovative and open to change.

Others talk, and dream, of days gone by. Many content producers now realize to stay in this market, they must make a demand for their content, and quality or caliber. Most programs are not buying new. They are just recycling their old shit over and over so they can buy drinks for the "bros".

Some, like JG, go to the shows and drum up some new business. Others keep reselling their same old shit. Others try, whether full on or half heatedly, to market their wares, and bawl on the boards.

:2 cents:

Hey man, you're doing what you have to do and you always have ... to adapt.

Over the years, I hope you know I have gained a lot of respect for you. I hope all is good and getting better with otherwise, Paul!

I have always told models "This is what we pay, if you want to sit on your ass for a day and earn nothing you can, if you want to come and work for us and earn a months wages in a day you can. Your call." OK today it's more like 2-3 weeks money, but still better than sitting at home and earning nothing.

The problem was so many Internet and DVD shooters arrived here and started acting like big shots. They were trying to get the girls brand new and trying to impress agents. A lot of the time they ended up with models we and a few other had shot for half the price and not so brand new. The agents started to dictate we all pay the high price and the home based shooters started recruiting girls on the street and from ads. Then sending them to agents. :1orglaugh

The problem really got bad when a good girl could get 2-3 days work a week and here that's a very nice wage.

But the worm has turned and girls are phoning us for work and accepting what we can pay them. Makes for a better product when the shooters are in charge. :winkwink:

I am doing well in the content business now and is on the verge of releasing a big modern store. My second actually, so now I am certain that as far as user experience it will be the best store in the business.

Like wise Jonathon. You were the guy who taught me there is more money to be made selling cheap than selling expensive. RESPECT. :thumbsup

Since I dropped the prices and gave the affiliates license to buyers for free sales have been better than before. Loads screams about saturation but it seems more buy on price. :1orglaugh

Tempest 08-12-2008 04:30 AM

I'm confused about your licenses... The basic one doesn't seem to cover FHGs... I would think (at least this is what I'm looking at it for) that most programs would want to license content for in their pay site and for FHGs.. but none of your licenses appear to cover that.

This license.

It's the one on Bargain Basement.

I will make it clearer on there, did it a few days ago and was baby sitting as well. LOL

Paul Markham 08-12-2008 04:50 AM

Fixed it, sorry about that.

Looking after a hyper 6 year old high on soda and sweets and programing do not mix. LOL

Tempest 08-12-2008 05:18 AM

k... soooooo.. If I want FHG use I have to also pay for affiliate use at 5x the listed prices?

No it's included in the standard Bargain Basement Content Store license. We changed it to be included in the normal license.

Licenses on both sites.

License for Bargain Basement.

If you want Paul Markham Content Store yes you have to pay the 5 x the listed price.

This is a problem and I frankly do not know the answer. We have clients who want and will pay a bit more unsaturated content, ie not given away to affiliates, and others who want to give it away to affiliates and don't want to spend extra. Our solution was two stores with two licenses.

Then we were selling to lots of affiliates who want to submit to TGP sites and did not want content 300 other people were submitting and happy to buy, so we took off the FHG and affiliate distribution from the normal license and charged for more. Now they are not buying so moving back to how it was.

As always you can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time and never all the people all the time. :1orglaugh
