You don't have one of those mosquito repelling thingies for your yard?

marketsmart 08-10-2008 08:35 AM

thats what you get for "night putting" with tranny's on the municipal golf course...

xxweekxx 08-10-2008 08:36 AM

wash the area.. put dept store hydrogen peroxide on a cotton ball, apply on face, let dry

then put some apple cider vinegar on cotton ball, apply on face, then let dry

then moisturize.. itll be gone ASAP..

I know im nigerian and mosquitoes eat me alive whenever i go visit

:helpme:helpme i think i have h202 arounf..... i doubt i got ACV .... I might have regular vinegar.... does it have to be ACV?

Juicy D. Links 08-10-2008 08:51 AM

Try any of the following methods to relive the itching and swelling of mosquito bites:

-Apply ice directly to the bite to keep histamine from reaching your skin.

-Dab with a small bit of general household ammonia.

-Apply toothpaste with a cotton swab. This is one of the fastest ways to relieve itching. Peppermint toothpaste works the best.

-Roll on deodorant

-Calamine lotion

-Rub a dry bar of soap on the mosquito bite.

-Moisten the bite area and then rub with table salt. Itching should stop immediately.

-Rub apple cider vinegar directly on mosquito bites.

-Mix baking soda with a bit of water to form a paste. Apply directly to mosquito bites.

-Saliva works well. Lick your finger and apply to the mosquito bite. Sounds gross..but works.

-Rubbing alcohol applied directly to the bite.

Juicy Got A Pimple!!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!!

LadyMischief 08-10-2008 02:12 PM

Honestly the best thing you can put on is witchhazel, or tea tree oil..both of which will remove the itch and also act as general antiseptics. You likely scratched it while sleeping and introduced foreign bacteria.

myboringlife 08-10-2008 02:53 PM

Honey

My suggestion for the best remedy would be raw, unprocessed HONEY, Manuka honey if you can get it. Manuka honey comes from the tea tree. So it's healing properties are very high. Honey has natural anti-bacterial, anti-microbial, anti-viral, antioxidant, antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and anti-fungal properties. It also has time released hydrogen peroxide and it helps tissue regenerate while keeping infection out. It creates a moist healing environment that allows new skin cells to grow across a healing wound flush with the surface of the wound, preventing deformity of the skin and scaring

To avoid mosquito bites in the first place, some say that eating foods rich in B Vitamins works for them. When there is a lack of B6 in the blood, a person becomes as attractive to a mosquito as a rose is to a honey bee because the blood smells "sweet" to the mosquito, and just as a honey bee can smell the scent of a flower from hundreds of feet away, so it is with the mosquito to people with a B6 deficiency.

Kidney beans, light meat of poultry, sunflower seeds, all bran, pearled barley, beef, brewer's yeast, brussel sprouts, carrots, cauliflower, corn, crab meat, lentils, lime beans, peas, potato, brown rice, salmon, soybeans, tuna.

Ever heard the whining of a mosquito when you are trying to sleep in your tent? Mosquitoes tune their whine to the right notes to mate in mid-air.

Sly 08-10-2008 02:56 PM

We've always used saliva... it works great and you always have plenty of it around.

Are you sure that isn't a spider bite or something like that? I don't think I have ever seen a bruise like that from a mosquito.

tranza 08-10-2008 02:58 PM

Wow, that's crazy, I've never seen it so bad!
