Democrats get lucky?

Democratic Sen. Paul Wellstone killed in plane crash today:

http://www.salon.com/politics/wire/2...one/index.html

Wellstone was in a very tough, close race. One which might have decided control of the Senate on Nov. 5th. He was also on the recieving end of a last minute million dollar attack ad campaign by a shadowy right wing group. Whoever replaces him will get the sympathy vote and the advantage of not having a million dollars worth of ads attacking him.

You are a fucking idiot.

Democrats (and all Americans) are anything but lucky today.

Politics revolve around numbers, not individuals. Haven't you realized that yet?

"Then one of them, named Caiaphas, who was high priest that year, spoke up, ?You know nothing at all! You do not realize that it is better for you that one man die for the people than that the whole nation perish.?

- John 11

Americans will be truly lucky if the Demo's can use this to retain control of the Senate and stop dubya from stacking the Federal Judiciary & Supreme Court with right wing nutbars. There is alot at stake in this election.

I'm sorry if my pragmatism offends you. Actually I'm not, but I'm trying to be civil here.

You are only half right. Politics can revolve around the ability of an individual to motivate people. Think JFK, MLK, etc.
