John Edwards admits to having an affair while his wife had cancer!
 

WASHINGTON - Former Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards on Friday admitted to an extramarital affair while his wife was battling cancer. He denied fathering the woman's daughter. Edwards told ABC News that he lied repeatedly about the affair with 42-year-old Rielle Hunter but said that he didn't love her.

He said he has not taken a paternity test but knows he isn't the father because of the timing of the affair and the birth.

ABC said a former Edwards campaign staffer claims he is the father, not Edwards.

So far everyone I've seen commenting about it on TV have presumed his wife didn't know about it until today as well. No idea if it's in fact true, but we sure do like the dramas more if it hurts someone while they're already down.

That fat ass photographer is one of the best photographers in the biz, and isn't hurting for work last time I checked....even though he is kind of a dick sometimes.

The picture thing is a little creepy (although I never heard before that he pays the people to pose) but how does any of that factor into a political discussion between an Edwards supporter who says he's going to now vote for McCain and an Obama supporter who would've voted for McCain had Hillary won the nomination?

Sex is one of the main ways for people to relieve stress. When his wife had cancer, he undoubtedly was extremely worried, and probably spent most of the time he was with her supporting her. At the same time, his wife probably wasn't able to support and comfort him as much as she normally did, meaning he not only suffered from immense stress, but also lacked a good way to relieve it.

Caring for sick loved ones is hard. It's even harder if there's nobody to care for you. That's why it's very common for people to cheat if their partner is sick, even if they care about their partner more than anything.

Totally. Everyone just assumes that non-monogamy is not an option, which is especially unfair/ridiculous considering the lifestyle of people who are constantly on the road.
